6. How much have we set aside / spent so far?
We’ve spent so far: £1,417.60 on Christmas lights,
traders meeting and the shopping crawl.
We’ve set aside so far:
£2,000 branding (now being funded by
Development Securities)
£6,000 for an events fund
£6,000 for advertising and promotion
£3,000 for a mobile app and website
£1,000 for a BID workshop
£5,000 for summer events

7. Proposal How will the events
fund work?
Call for people to submit events applications - 15 April 2013
We will only fund new events.
Events must take place in in 2013 or 2014.
Applicants must demonstrate how the event will encourage
people into shops and businesses in Lichfield City centre.
Applications that include an element of match funding from
alternative solutions will be welcomed.
Maximum funding to any one event - £6,000
Application deadline -
5pm on 17 May 2013
8. Proposal Bringing Covent Garden
entertainment into the city
Call for entertainers to bid to deliver entertainment on agreed days
throughout the year.
We have set aside £5,000 to invest.
Competitive quotes indicate paid for entertainers can be sourced from
between £250 - £300 per day.
We know local partner arts groups would also like to bid to take part, and
may be willing to charge less in order to increase the number of days.
Between 11 May & 29 September there are 42 Saturdays and Sundays.
At the day rate quoted, we could afford 16 – 17 days.
