NCTA aims to promote North Carolina's technology industry, foster a skilled technology workforce, advocate for supportive public policies, and enable economic and job growth through events, committees, and influencing legislation.

MHTA promotes the growth, sustainability and global competitiveness of Minnesota's technology-based economy through advocacy, collaboration and education. It does this by advocating for favorable policies, educating leaders through programs like the ACE Leadership Program and CEO briefings, and facilitating collaboration through events like the annual golf outing and spring conference. MHTA represents technology companies in Minnesota at the state capitol and works with partners in education and government to support STEM education and the technology workforce.

South Korea's rapid economic growth from an impoverished agrarian economy to the world's 12th largest economy was underpinned by the government's strategic policy focus on building science and technology capacity. The government played a vital role in stimulating technical progress and economic expansion through Korea's national innovation system (NIS). The NIS framework views the main elements as universities, firms, and government, and their dynamic interactions that facilitate innovation and economic growth. Korea identified its strengths in human resources but weaknesses in technology and resources, and pursued a path of government-led science and technology development to transform the country from a technology immitator to a leading innovative economy.

Congressman Boehlert announced that the Workforce Investment Board would be expanding an innovative IT training program called NITAS using $175,000 in funding secured by Boehlert. NITAS connects employers, local colleges, and provides apprenticeships for students and workers through on-the-job training and skills certification. The program aims to develop a highly skilled local IT workforce. The expansion is expected to help at least 100 apprentices. Boehlert toured an One-Stop job center and hopes programs like NITAS and a disability employment grant will help attract employers and provide new opportunities.

Connecticut Technology Council's HR Forum Series - Better Together, Building ...
On Thursday September 29, 2016 the Connecticut Technology Council hosted the second program in their HR Forum Series - Better Together, Building a Robust Tech Talent Pipeline in Connecticut at Medtronic in North Haven. The focus of the Forum was Branding: Impacting Technical Talent in CT and Beyond. A diverse panel representing academia, industry, and the State lead a robust discussion on the topic. Those in attendance actively participated and opted to linger after the official close of the program to continue talking through some of the issues that were raised and to network among themselves.

The Malawi government cognizant of the great potential of a knowledge based economy as an engine of growth for the country’s socio-economic development has placed ICT as a priority sector both in the short to medium term and the long-term as demonstrated by the launch of the Malawi 2063 (MW2063), a blueprint for its long term aspiration to be an inclusively wealthy and self-reliant industrialized upper middle-income nation by the year 2063.
Amongst key aspirations of MW2063 is for Malawi to be a vibrant knowledge e-based economy with world class urban centres with globally competitive economic infrastructure.
To support this inclusive wealth goal, the Malawi Government rolled this five-year Digital Economy Strategy which sets new targets for different aspects of the digital economy.
By 2026, the Government aims to create a strong digital ecosystem that can enable critical sectors, such as agriculture and health, while supporting a growing ICT sector that provides goods and services which ignite rapid economic growth and create employment opportunities.
