1. Greetings!
The word intramurals signifies sports, whether individual or team competitions. It showcases different
values which are expected to be embodied by the athletes since they are the core components of the
sports events. A few of these are sportsmanship which means acceptance of the fair results, teamwork
which means unselfishness and thinking majorly about thegoal of the family as a whole but considering
the welfare of every member, and most of all, as the theme tries to shout to us, “Unity and camaraderie
through healthy sports competition.”
“Unity and camaraderie through healthy sports competition”- I would like to make an appeal to
everyone of you who are here today. Let us just enjoy the three-day intramurals for the year 2012: no
serious fights during and after all the events; no throwing of abusive verbal attack; respect for everyone;
and most of all, be humble for winning and show acceptance for losing.
Let us all take this as an opportunity to unwind since this event is not about any stressful academic
weights. It is time to chill, to cheer, to shine, to inspire and to be inspired, and to shout at the peak of
your voices for your most valued players.
So with no much ado, I welcome you all to the DCCP Vigan Intramurals 2012!
