2014 DOMINICAN REPUBLIC MISSION TRIPS – D.R.E.A.M. is a project of the three lower peninsula Episcopal
dioceses in Michigan, in conjunction with our companion of the Dominican Republic. The project is focused on raising
funds and sending missioners to the town of San Marcos in the Dominican Republic, so they can help build a church, school
and rectory on two acres in the town for the Church of San Simón. In 2014 the lower level of the church – i.e. the worship
space – is expected to be completed. It appears that this year the team will be building pews, altar furniture and also looking
at a healthy latrine system through water missions.
We invite you to learn more about this important effort by visiting the project D.R.E.A.M. website. You’ll find photos, news
updates, forms, FAQ’s and much more. Our EDWM representative on the project is Deacon Beth Drew.
