3. NAME THAT PRODUCT Welcome to Scandinavia!
Scandinavia is a region of northern Europe consisting of
Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. These three countries
share the same word, “Skandinavien,” referring to the
first lands of Norsemen (also known as VIKINGS!). Since
Vikings are so cool, these countries made a special
“club” called Scandinavia and no other countries are
allowed to join! They’re VERY picky.
See if you can match the 3 countries with their names:

Trolls
In Scandinavian mythology trolls are described as being
extremely old, very strong, but slow and dim-witted.
They remain close to nature (dark forests especially)
and are said to turn to stone in the sunlight.

5. The Story of Tomtar
The Tomte of ancient Scandinavian folklore is a
small, elusive, nocturnal creature. Very similar
to leprechauns, tomtar are rarely ever seen.
Usually found around farms, they have a deep
love for both the land and its animals. A tomte
would look after the family and farm at night
and would often leave small treats for the farm
animals. It was customary for farmers to leave
small gifts (usually food) in return.
