2
Purpose
Explain the concept of a knowledge worker.
Define and explain nursing informatics and highlight the role of a nurse leader as a knowledge worker.
The concept of a knowledge worker
The term “knowledge worker” was first coined by Peter Drucker. Ducker defined knowledge workers as high-level workers who apply theoretical and analytical knowledge, acquired through formal training, to develop products and services (CFI, 2019). He emphasized that due to the high level of productivity and creativity of knowledge worker, that they would be the most valuable assets in the 21st century organization. Professionals that can be referred to as knowledge worker includes engineers, pharmacists, architects, financial analysts, public accountants, physicians, scientists, design thinkers, and lawyers. Furthermore, knowledge workers have a high degree of expertise, experience, education and the primary purpose of their jobs involve the distribution, creation and application of knowledge.

Nursing Informatics
Nursing Informatics is a subset of informatics, specific to the nursing field and the role of the nurse in the healthcare setting. There has been several interpretation of nursing informatics. The American Nurses Association (ANA), identified nursing informatics as a specialty that integrates nursing, science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, and knowledge in nursing practice (ANA, 2001, pg.17).

Nurse leader as a knowledge worker.
A nurse leader is one who inspire others to work together to achieve a common goal, for instance enhanced patient care or satisfaction. All nurses are called to nurse leadership, however there are different levels of nurse leadership. Nurse leaders are expected to help the organization to fulfill the organization’s mission, vision, values, and strategies to achieve long-range plans. Nurse leaders part take in policy setting, overseeing quality measures are carried out, accountability for overall quality of patient care delivery, staff satisfaction and organizational outcomes. For a nurse leader as a knowledge worker to be productive in an organization, the nurse leader must understand that knowledge work requires continuous learning on the part of the knowledge worker, but equally continuous teaching on the part of the knowledge worker. Having said that, a knowledge worker nurse leader will depend hugely on evidenced based practice to be productive in a healthcare organization. The use of EBP by knowledge worker nurse leader will require learning and teaching. Most healthcare organizations or hospitals rely on evidenced based practice to im.

The document is a template for an academic and professional success plan for a graduate nursing program. It includes sections for identifying an academic and professional network, academic and professional resources, strategies for maintaining academic integrity, analyzing a peer-reviewed research article on a topic of interest, developing a curriculum vitae, and finalizing a nursing specialty focus area. The template provides guidance for students to organize their goals and plan for success in their nursing studies and career.
The document provides instructions for a graded assignment on applying the nursing process in a health assessment. Students are asked to:
1) Describe their practice setting and typical patient population.
2) Provide examples of subjective and objective data collected through assessment.
3) Explain their documentation process and whether technology is involved.
4) Describe how they analyze data and what the end result is, such as formulating nursing diagnoses and care plans.
This document discusses evidence-based practice (EBP) in nursing. It explains that while traditional practices may have value, care is increasingly being informed by scholarly research evidence. Nurses are encouraged to consider a recent patient care experience and evaluate the extent to which care was based on evidence versus standard procedures. They are also prompted to formulate background questions and a PICOT question on a topic of interest related to a procedure or policy. Finally, nurses are asked to reflect on barriers to implementing EBP in their organization and propose strategies to overcome one of the barriers described in an assigned reading.

Introduction
HVAC systems typically consume around 70% of a base building’s energy usage, with 25-35% of energy consumed by chillers producing chilled water for air-conditioning. Therefore, the efficiency of chillers and the optimization of their performance within the HVAC systems they operate are important in achieving high performance.
Purpose of the Assignment
In this assignment a one-year historical data (refer to Daily Chilled water-1 excel file attached) for a chiller within a building has been measured. The main aims of this assignment are that students
· Taste the flavor of forecasting methods within buildings.
· Understand basic concepts of short-term/midterm forecasting.
· Learn how to
· capture the salient features using different regression models
· build regression models using Excel
· justify how well the models have fitted the data
· develop a model for one day ahead load forecasting
Questions
Students must answer the following question in details.
1. Plot the data and apply the simple linear regression (SLR) model and second order regression (SOR) model for the chilled water and HDD. In both cases, find the mathematical models for producing daily chilled water as well.
2. Use the obtained models above to forecast the chilled water that you would expect for the next January (2014) if the HDD varies as shown in Table 1 (attached).
3. Apply multiple linear regression (MLR) model for the chilled water and all parameters impacting the amount of chilled water. Find the mathematical model for producing daily chilled water as well.
4. Use the obtained MLR model above to forecast the chilled water that you would expect for the next January (2014) if the RH, Tdew-C and HDD vary as shown in Table 1.
5. Calculate MAPE and RMSE for each model (SLR, SOR, and MLR) and discuss which model(s) is more fitted with the historical data?

Assignment 2 FAQs
Question 1
I am eager to start my next piece of assessment, my understanding is we have to identify and explain our understanding of process and outcome data in delivery of safe, high quality care.
The example I would like to use is the five moments of hand hygiene, with promotes infection control, my data would be the auditing process of the five moments and how this is acheived. The outcomes would be improved patient outcomes or adversely, death due to nosocomial infection or readmission. Am I on the right track or does the example have to be based on an a specific ILLNESS such as CA or pneumothorax for example using the Donabedian model of measuring health care
such as treatment process, stages of treatment, appropriateness of treatment and outcomes such as death, adverse events etc..
And do we have to go into depth about what the illness. or is it just simply demonstrating our understanding of the processes and outcomes data for an illness?
Thank you for your email.
Yes you are on the right track as you are discussing safety and quality of nursing care NOT the process or outcome of a disease.
And do we have to go into depth about what the illness. or is it just simply demonstrating our understanding of the processes and outcomes data for an illness?
If you were discussing infection you would need to discuss the impact of the infection. For example,
1. What would be the impact on the client/patient? eg prolonging of illness, complications, longer hospital stay, financial costs, psychological costs,
2. What would be the impact on the health organisation/hospital? eg Inefficiency, increased length of patient stay, bed blocking, increased costs of hospitalisation, possible court claim
3. What would be the impact on the state? eg Decreased productivity of the individual if they remain hospitalised and are unable to work, increased costs if client/patient a pensioner
Question 2
In regards to the second assessment piece, it says:
"Use the scholarly literature to identify and explain the use of process and outcome data in the delivery of safe, quality nursing care in health institutions.
The use 1 example of process and outcome data to demonstrate your understanding of their use in providing safe, high quality care in health institutions."
Did you want us to use the 1 example for the whole paper in identifying and explaining the use of process and outcome data in the delivery of safe, quality nursing care in health institutions to demonstrate our understanding of it. Or did you want us to address both points separately as they are explaining what it is first, then explaining it again using the example we choose?
Thank you for your email.
How you go about addressing the question is up to you. What you have been asked to do is:
1. Explain the use of process and outcome data in the delivery of safe, quality nursing care in health institutions.
2. Demonstrate your understanding of these two phenomena by providing examples of ...

Nurse Burnout and Quality of Care Word Review Paper HW.pdfbkbk37
This document provides a literature review on nurse burnout and quality of care. It discusses several research articles on this topic. The key findings are:
1) Higher levels of nurse burnout correlate with lower levels of quality patient care.
2) Nurse burnout can lead to job dissatisfaction, which is associated with missed or reduced nursing care, especially in nursing homes.
3) Individual, group, and organizational interventions can help reduce nurse burnout, but group strategies seem most effective. Further research is needed to evaluate the limitations of various intervention strategies.
Improving work environments and empowering nurse leaders are recommended to reduce burnout and improve the quality of nursing care.

Evidence-based Practice Project: PIICOT Statement
Delayed patient transfers from the intensive care unit (ICU) is a significant practice problem that affects the quality and safety of healthcare delivery as well as the costs and efficiency of service delivery in a healthcare institution. It is nurses’ role to identify issues and develop strategies for quality improvement (Stillwell, Fineout-Overholt, Melnyk & Williamson, 2012). The following PIICOT Statements seeks to develop an intervention to reduce the rates of delayed transfers to enhance patient experiences and outcomes.
PIICOT Statement
In patients in extended intensive care within an urban acute care facility in Eastern United States, how does early mobilization as recommended by National Institute of Health and Care Excellence clinical guidelines on rehabilitation of patients after critical illness impact early transfers from intensive care as measured 6 months post-implementation when compared to the current standard of care including minimal mobilization of patients?
P: Adult patients
I: in extended intensive care within an urban acute care facility
I: increased mobilization of the patients
C: minimal mobilization of the patients
O: early transfers of the patients from intensive care
T: 6 months
Salient Elements that Inform the Research Question
The research question above has been developed based on observations in clinical practice of patients in intensive care, who overstay their admission in the ICU. Past research shows that delayed transfers of patients from the ICU to non-intensive care wards or the community settings have a negative effect on patient experiences and the patient outcomes. Some of the common negative effects of delayed patient transfers that have been identified by past researchers include an increased risk .
Research critique guidelines – part i use this documeMARK547399
This document provides guidelines for writing a research critique paper in three parts. Part I focuses on critiquing qualitative studies and requires summarizing the background, methods, results, and ethical considerations of two studies and discussing how they relate to a nurse practice issue and answer a PICOT question. Key elements to discuss include the problem, purpose and methods of the studies, comparing their interventions and results, implications for nursing, and how ethical considerations were addressed.

For this assignment you willwrite a paper using TOPIC 1: QUANTITATIVERESEARCH &TOPIC 2:QUALITATIVE RESEARCH. Do not worry about the word count as this is not part of the grading criteria for this assignment. Below is a template of how the paper should be setup. This paper will be in APA format. In the template below I am providing a sample of the headers that should be used in APA format to organize your paper. I would highly recommend using them in your paper.
The introduction should introduce the paper. The intro would also include your thesis statement. The thesis tells the reader what will be discussed in the rest of the paper. This section should be in first paragraphs.
PICOT Statement
Revise the PICOT statement you wrote - PICOT Statements: (1). Changes in leisure time physical activity preference and development of hypertension were significantly correlated, especially among urban Chinese. Hypertension prevention programs may identify the groups at elevated risk by examining levels and changes of LTPA preferences. (2). Hypertension is a major health concern that leads to many complications besides the heart attack, heart failure and other related issues. Therefore, this study will help in studying the Systolic Blood Pressure Intervention Trial (SPRINT) so as to arrive at the solutions. The study will aim at answering the question, how to treat to lower systolic blood pressure. (3). There are several reasons that contributed to non-adherence to treatment in hypertensive patients. Diversity of these reasons is an indication that design and implementation of different kinds of interventions are required in order to increase the patients' awareness, empower them and encourage self-efficacy.” Based on these provide justification of the problem and supporting evidence from multiple resources to justify why this is a problem. This section should be 1-2 paragraphs.
Research Critiques
Use the research critiques to complete this assignment that has both qualitative and quantitative.
Qualitative Studies
Background of the study. Answer the following questions in narrative form regarding the qualitative studies in this section.
· Identify the clinical problem and research problem that led to the study. What was not known about the clinical problem that, if understood, could be used to improve health care delivery or patient outcomes? This gap in knowledge is the research problem.
· How did the author establish the significance of the study? In other words, why should the reader care about this study? Look for statements about human suffering, costs of treatment, or the number of people affected by the clinical problem.
· Identify the purpose of the study. An author may clearly state the purpose of the study or may describe the purpose as the study goals, objectives, or aims.
· List research questions that the study was designed to answer. If the author does not explicitly provide the questions, attempt to infer the questions from the answers.

Genetic diversity is important for long-term population viability and supports biodiversity. A lack of genetic diversity threatens survival, as seen in populations like the Florida panther which faces health issues due to inbreeding. Population management considers conservation values and aims to balance costs and benefits through efforts like reintroducing invasive species. Conservation methods include ex situ options like zoos and botanical gardens which support genetics but can also reduce diversity, as well as in situ protections under the Endangered Species Act which helps preservation but faces challenges in enforcement.

Virtualization and cloud services are gaining popularity as organizations seek to reduce costs and improve efficiency. As cited by Portnoy (2012), companies typically adopt virtualization first before purchasing new physical servers. Under virtualization policies, new projects are satisfied using virtual resources instead of physical servers unless a need cannot be met virtually. Organizations begin to virtualize infrastructure services and realize fiscal benefits, leading to migrating more workloads from expiring servers to the growing virtual environment.

This document provides instructions for two assignments in an N522PE Shadow Health Assessment course. Assignment 1 requires a 3-page paper on using clinical reasoning to develop advanced health assessment skills at the graduate level. It should discuss how clinical reasoning is used, how the nursing process enhances critical thinking, and provide a clinical example. Assignment 2 requires a 4-5 page focused health assessment of a child complaining of cough, including a history, exam, clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis, and individualized care plan. Both assignments must be in APA format and will be graded using the provided rubrics.

This document provides guidelines for a required uniform assignment in a health assessment course. Students are instructed to obtain a health history and conduct a physical examination on an individual, identifying at least two health education needs based on the assessment. They must also locate two peer-reviewed articles supporting the identified needs. Finally, students must write a reflection describing their experience completing the assignment. The assignment will be graded based on thoroughness of the health history and physical exam, appropriateness of the identified needs and supporting evidence, and quality of the written reflection.
This document discusses evidence-based practice (EBP) in nursing. It notes that many nursing practices are based on tradition rather than evidence, and evaluates the use of EBP in clinical settings. The document provides learning objectives on evaluating EBP use, formulating strategies to overcome barriers to EBP, and forming background questions and a PICOT question. Required readings are listed to help students examine the role of EBP in nursing and consider how to promote its use.

Under virtualization policies, new projects are satisfied using virtual resources instead of physical servers unless a need cannot be met virtually. Organizations begin to virtualize infrastructure services and realize fiscal benefits, leading to migrating more workloads from expiring servers to the growing virtual environment.

Lifting the Corporate Veil. Power Point Presentationseri bangash
"Lifting the Corporate Veil" is a legal concept that refers to the judicial act of disregarding the separate legal personality of a corporation or limited liability company (LLC). Normally, a corporation is considered a legal entity separate from its shareholders or members, meaning that the personal assets of shareholders or members are protected from the liabilities of the corporation. However, there are certain situations where courts may decide to "pierce" or "lift" the corporate veil, holding shareholders or members personally liable for the debts or actions of the corporation.
Here are some common scenarios in which courts might lift the corporate veil:
Fraud or Illegality: If shareholders or members use the corporate structure to perpetrate fraud, evade legal obligations, or engage in illegal activities, courts may disregard the corporate entity and hold those individuals personally liable.
Undercapitalization: If a corporation is formed with insufficient capital to conduct its intended business and meet its foreseeable liabilities, and this lack of capitalization results in harm to creditors or other parties, courts may lift the corporate veil to hold shareholders or members liable.
Failure to Observe Corporate Formalities: Corporations and LLCs are required to observe certain formalities, such as holding regular meetings, maintaining separate financial records, and avoiding commingling of personal and corporate assets. If these formalities are not observed and the corporate structure is used as a mere façade, courts may disregard the corporate entity.
Alter Ego: If there is such a unity of interest and ownership between the corporation and its shareholders or members that the separate personalities of the corporation and the individuals no longer exist, courts may treat the corporation as the alter ego of its owners and hold them personally liable.
Group Enterprises: In some cases, where multiple corporations are closely related or form part of a single economic unit, courts may pierce the corporate veil to achieve equity, particularly if one corporation's actions harm creditors or other stakeholders and the corporate structure is being used to shield culpable parties from liability.

Clinical Issues Summary Nurses are the most affected by burn out and job dissatisfaction in
the profession. This can be attributed to the nature of their work and the overall demands of
the profession. Ultimately, frustration from the patients can elevate the bedside nurse’s
stress levels leading to burnout. Burn out, and job dissatisfaction is a course for concern,
especially in busy health care in the system (Aiken et al., 2002). The issues bring about
individual problems that yield widespread problems in the whole organization. For
instance, a nurse may develop “neuroendocrine” related responses and, ultimately
physiological outcomes that can result in illness. Within the organization, job dissatisfaction
and increased burnout can result in the poor turn out and elevated absenteeism impacting
health care delivery within the organization. Nurses who deal with patients daily are liable
to workplace stress that yields elevated levels of burnout and subsequent job dissatisfaction
(Aiken et al., 2002). The development of creative team building activities can help address
5. the issue among nurses in various hospital settings while enhancing their overall job
satisfaction. This is because such activities are meant to enhance nurse’s morale, increased
communication, and trust that is very crucial in a clinical setting (Clark, 2009). Such
activities enhance trust as well as improved morals in a clinic. The move creates a
collaborative environment between colleagues as well as cooperation while integrating the
team’s efforts in problemsolving. The activity can be organized individually, or it can
integrate the whole organization. However, the involvement of the organization may limit
the activities due to the need for money, but individual nursing cooperation can cut any cost
required. They can set a particular day of how they can be a meeting taking into account
