3. Recap of Weeks 1 & 2 Cont.
• Pick a CPA offer or Affiliate Offer that fits with your chosen niche market
• Compile those offers’ main benefits and USP. Write these benefits on a document.
In other words, figure out your competitors main benefits and swipe them for your
own use.
• Have your articles ready to go in your “free pdf report” and be giving it away.
• Optional – graphic for your “free report”
• Get your squeeze page up, live, and functional (Auto‐responder works, etc)
• Have your first 5 Auto‐responder emails written and functional (emails promote
your chosen affiliate offer or CPA offer)
• Get your emails and Squeeze page critiqued and proofed
• If you are ready, send traffic. If not, we’re going into that now…
If You Find Yourself Behind On This Program,
Don’t worry about it. Go Back And Watch Week I and Week II
Over And Over Again, Focus On Completing Those Steps First!
4. Traffic Is Paramount!
• There is FREE Traffic and PAID Traffic
• Free Traffic is great, but it tends to require lots of effort and time.
Most can’t stick it out for the long‐LONG‐term waiting for free
traffic to kick in.
• This is why many fail and many quit. The results take so long to kick
in, people lose motivation and patience.
• The only Free type of traffic that’s VERY explosive, where pretty
much anyone can do quickly ‐ is Joint Ventures! But, it’s not
completely free, because you have to pay out part of the revenue.
Who cares on digital products though?
• If you don’t want to pay out on revenue, you can always do what
we call a “list swap”, but your list must be a decent size to entice
the JV partner to do that for you.
• More on JV’s later
5. Free Traffic Versus Paid Traffic
Free takes effort, time and neither is really free is it? Time = money
Aside from JV’s, everything else takes a long time and people
wonder why they don’t make any money online
Paid traffic is fast! You can be up and running in minutes with traffic
with Google. Only a day or so with other paid avenues.
What if you spend months sending free traffic only to find your stuff
does not convert?
If sending paid traffic (in 15 minutes) shows your stuff converts,
then, by all means, strike up free traffic methods. Note* It usually
takes tweaking and testing to get even paid traffic to convert. So,
free traffic can take ages before it makes you any money (not
counting JV’s or viral)
Paid: put in a dollar in a money machine and it spits out $3. Do it
over and over right? That’s the power of advertising and paying for
traffic.
6. Free Traffic Versus Paid Traffic Cont.
• What if you get ranked at the top of Google? That’s
awesome, tons of free traffic. BUT…
• What if all of a sudden you are no longer ranked at the top of
Google? There goes the new car and house.
• If you master paid traffic and advertising, you’ll never have to
worry about traffic. If you master traffic and conversions,
you’ll never have to worry about jobs. ☺
• I’m not against free traffic at all. I just think too many people
rely on it 100% and wonder why they fail. It’s best to master
paid traffic and also utilize free traffic methods that generate
results.
• First, lets talk about FREE TRAFFIC, then we’ll get into paid
traffic
7. Free Traffic Exposed!
• The best forms of FREE traffic are:
• Joint Ventures
• Viral
• Media
• Press Releases
• Craigslist
• SEO
• Social
• Videos
• THANK YOU PAGES (link backs)
• Articles
• Review Articles
• Affiliates!
9. More on JV’s
• If you have a list of 1,000 dog owners and you do 5 JV’s
with other pet type sites, you can grow that 1,000 list
to 5,000 or 10,000 or higher FAST!
• A list of 5,000 dog owners, one email sent out can
make you money every time you promote to them. It
is even possible to make $60k to $120k or more with a
list of only 5,000.
• Your First Breakthrough Goal should be to reach a list
of 5,000 in your niche market. Put everything you have
into getting a big list in your niche. (more on list
management, building, etc later in the program)
• Next we will cover a simple JV technique that requires
no list at all to get started!
10. Simple JV Technique!
First, you need:
An ebook to give away for free. I call it a “teaser report”. It can be
15 pages or so.
This teaser report will give away the 7 top tips for X (whatever your
niche is)
It tells them tips, but is incomplete.
Next, you need a professional ebook graphic for this teaser report.
(the better it looks, the better!)
$50 to $100 for the graphic to be created normally.
SignatureEcovers.com can do it for you.
You need a squeeze page so people can opt in to get the free teaser
report.
An affiliate program that tracks cookies would be great too.
1ShoppingCart, Amember, etc.
12. More on JV’s
• Once you have a list built, then you can approach sites to do list
swaps.
• You can also partner with similar sites and create new products
together, splitting the profits. You do the work, they promote it to
their list.
• Up‐sells and back‐end products.
• Most sites out there do not have up‐sells or back‐end products.
They just sell one product. You can partner with them on providing
up‐sells and back‐end products. You create the products, the offers
and split profits with them.
• I call all of this taking one step backwards in order to take many‐
many steps forward. You are leveraging other people’s assets. This
is beautiful and completely win‐win for all.
• These are back links too, by the way that will benefit you in the
search engines.
13. How to Approach JV Partners
First, you must be confident. Usually, that takes getting experience. The
more times you do it, the easier it becomes, because you get used to the
process. You then seem confident and people are more willing to work
with you.
It’s always about them. They could care less about you (until they become
friends). It’s all about them. So talk about how it can help them, what it
can do for them, how they can make more money, etc. Not about you and
what you want.
“I see you are in the dog niche like me. I really love what you did with your
site. It looks great. Hey, I have something that’s working great for me in
this niche and I don’t mind sharing with you. It can add a lot more sales to
your ABC Dog Training Book… blah blah blah”
Don’t worry about rejection, some never see your emails and such… and
some just don’t understand business. Move on to someone else. There
are tons out there.
14. A Sample JV Approach
• Start off with a snappy, non spammy subject line, like “(firstname), here’s a great
idea!”
• Always personalize your emails with the contact’s name, i.e. Dear (firstname)
• Show them that you have visited the site, for example, “I hope all is going well for
you over at the Dog Supplies Store.”
• Demonstrate that you want to help out their customers/visitors, like “I have an
idea that could benefit your customers…”
• Go into more detail on how you can help them and how you are both a good fit for
each other.
• Then jump into the offer… i.e. “I have set up a special JV program that all you have
to do is link back to us, mail out, etc. and you’ll get 50% of the sale on all the sales
you generate!”
• Make it super easy to join by providing them a link to your site.
• If you are using this approach to help build your list, then simply create a report
that they can rebrand and redistribute and have your partners send their
prospects to an optin page that you control to give them access to the product.
15. The JV Spreadsheet
• Set this up on Excel or a similar spreadsheet program
• Call it “JV Partners” or something so you can easily identify it.
• You’ll have 10 columns titled the following:
• Organization (if any), First Name, Last Name, Website, Contact Form
(the page that you contact them from), Email, Phone, Fax, What’s
the benefit for the JV Partner (yes, it’s a long one but you will make
notes as to why it’s a good fit), Comments (here you will simply
update it with the latest, perhaps put the date of initial contact, or
what you really like about their site, offer, etc.)
• Try to at least fill that spreadsheet with 100 contacts.
• You can outsource this if you don’t want to spend the time.
• On our Week 3 resource page, you should find a template for a
work order, as far as how to properly request this be done for you
in the freelance sites.
16. Your 100 Keywords
• Now, here’s where we start using some of those 100
keywords we asked you to collect in week 1!
• Use those keyword phrases as titles to your articles,
titles to your press releases, titles to your squidoo
lenses, hubpages, blogs, etc.
• Use the keywords in the body of your articles and even
as part of your domain names:
abc.com/longtailkeywordphrase
• Your articles must be good, but incomplete. The rest of
the story is on your site! (keep in mind, people tend to
look for free info, so just look to capture them by giving
free content)
17. It’s all a Numbers Game!
• Your articles can be picked up by others and
distributed.
• 20 articles per week x 52 weeks = 1040 articles.
• Might be good to have a number of domains, all
squeeze pages or blogs and such so that the search
engines don’t feel you are spamming them.
• Did I say 52 weeks? You see, it takes time.
• Ezinearticles.com is the one I like the best, there are
tons of directories though
• You can easily use pen names as well.
• You need tons of these articles, placed everywhere,
optimized, good quality and it takes time.
18. Article Marketing = Free Traffic!
• To get free traffic from articles is going to require lots of effort and lots of
patience. (many don’t have either)
• However, articles work.
• So, it depends on your long term determination
• Here’s the keys to making articles work for you…
You need a lot of them!
You need good ones – High Quality!
You need special keyword phrases!
19. Advanced Article Strategies
• Articles are an excellent way to drive traffic to your site and build up your
backlinks.
• “Backlinks” are links back to your site with your keywords in them… i.e.
Mortgage Loans – where when you click on that link it goes to your site.
• I usually only submit my articles to EzineArticles.com, and GoArticles.com.
Everything else in my experience has not been very fruitful. Not to say that
it can’t, I’m just going on my own experience.
• Here are some good tips when writing articles:
• Keywords in your headline – this is a must!
• Question marks and explanation points are good as they draw attention.
• It’s ok to sometimes CAP an entire word, but not the entire headline.
• Specific numbers are always good, like “Top 10 Tips”
• “Part 1” in the headline works when there is a “Part 2” available or “get
more info” in the author or bio box. This is where your article seems
“incomplete” making them optin for the rest of the story.
20. More Advanced Article Strategies
• You must have a strong, compelling headline!
Examples of good headlines are:
• Ultimate Dog Training Tips: Teach Your Dog How to Sit in 3 Easy Steps!
• How to Burn Fat and Lose Weight Faster Than you Can Imagine!
• Is it Possible to Eat What You Want and Still Lose Weight?
• Discover the 7 Little Known Secrets to Long Term Success in Real Estate!
• Just use a little common sense here.
• What headlines grab your attention?
• I think we like to complicate things when the answer is right in front of us.
• Here’s what I do – and this tip right here helps me crank out some amazing
articles, time after time…
• TIP: Create a “swipe file.” What is that you say? A swipe file is a collection of
articles, sales letters, emails, pictures, etc. anything that resonates with you and
makes you take action. Just think about it? If you ever come across a product that
you purchased, take a deeper look as to why you bought it. Maybe you needed it,
and that’s fine. But why did you go with them versus the other?
21. A Real Article Example
• For a real live example, check the video 3 page for a link to the
article.
• Headline: How to Attract Girls: Do You Really Need to Know?
• Content: Several paragraphs with my keyword “how to attract girls”
sprinkled throughout the article.
• Bio Section: “Learn how to attract girls! Fabricio Cruz will show you
how to attract the most beautiful women, regardless of age, looks
or income! Check out his site for a free preview at
http://www.turbochargeyourdating.com right now!”
• In the bio, I include a link back to my main website with my
keyword “how to attract girls” as my anchor text (i.e. the part that
is in blue) and a full URL link to my site.
• I want both links, one for the back links, and secondly, if someone
wants to use my article in the newspaper, it won’t properly display
my URL unless I put it.
22. A Killer Article Strategy• This is just an idea, you have complete control of how you do this, so if you have
some creativity, you can shine here.
• If you don’t have a creative bone in your body, don’t worry so much about this
strategy, then just write a ton of articles and benefit from the back links to your
squeeze page.
• If you can generate a huge list of “tips” this strategy will work great.
• Here’s an example… if you’re in the dating niche like me…
• A hot topic in the dating niche is learning how to kiss a woman (if you’re a guy),
most men are not good at it!
• So I can create a free PDF, or email series that gives away “The Top 10 Things Every
Good Kisser Must Know About Women” for example…
• Write an article focusing on one of those top 10 things… for example: “Has Bad
Breath Prevented You from Being a Good Kisser?”
• Notice I have a couple keywords in the title, such as “bad breath” and “being a
good kisser” – a long tail keyword.
• Give them some killer content about how to improve their breath.
• In the bio section you might want to write something like… “’This is just one of 10
articles dealing with becoming a better kisser, for more information on “The Top
10 Things Every Good Kisser Must Know About Women” visit my website at
www.TurboChargeYourDating.com” – and hopefully they optin to your list!!!
23. “What if I don’t like to write articles?”
• Articles don’t take that long to write, can be as fast as 15 minutes.
• If you don’t like, it… outsource it! Guru, Scriptlance, Elance, etc.
• Another great resource for some good articles (Articlez.com)
• Typically, you can expect to pay anywhere form $6 to $15 and up for
some top quality articles.
• Test your writers before giving them big projects, ask for sample
and give them small projects before going full force.
• You’ve heard it before, and it’s so true with article writing… “you
get what you pay for.”
• I wish there was much more, but then I’d be wasting your time.
• Get some articles written, good headline, insert keywords, stick to
around 450 words, tease them a bit in the bio box… submit them,
and benefit from backlinks or traffic to your site. Easy stuff!
24. More Free Traffic!
• Review articles work great!
• 4wheelparts.com, sign up as an affiliate, write reviews of
each product, part, etc. Use the name of the brand in your
title, and get free traffic. Have your affiliate link in the page
(or a redirect link) and send them to 4wheelparts.com
where they will be “cookied” and you’ll earn commission
on ANYTHING they purchase. Brilliant!
• You can do reviews on web 2.0 sites like squidoo.com,
hubpages.com, yahoo360.com, etc
• Your link would look like this: squidoo.com/niteriderlights
(which is a light for a 4 wheel truck)
25. Even More Free Traffic – Videos!
• Videos
– Youtube.com videos, Yahoo Videos, Google Videos, Viddler.com, etc
• Trafficgeysier.com
– Post/launch tons of videos at once ($97/mo. service)
– Free or a “light” version is tubemogule.com
• Flood the net with your videos (or review videos)
• A good video may take 30 min. or so to produce. If you spend an
hour a day, making two videos, in a month, you’ll have 60 videos, in
a year, that’s 720 videos each generating leads for you!
• Consistency is key here, don’t try and make 200 videos in a week!
• They get ranked sometimes
– Needs to be incomplete, the rest of the story is on your site, similar to
the articles we talked about before.
26. Video Marketing Done Right
• Video marketing can help explode your business
• Does take time to learn and implement
• Be careful that you do not violate any copyright laws, i.e. make sure
the content is yours and not someone else's.
• What are you going to record? Yourself, or your screen?
• If you are going to record yourself, you will need a webcam. Spend
no more than $50 and plug it right in.
• If you are going to record your screen, then you need a program like
Camtasia, or Camstudio (free at camstudio.org)
• First off, who is our target market… our target audience. You want
the video to be seen by as many qualified prospects as possible,
and how do we do that? We have to know what they are looking for
and get it in front of them. We should know this by now.
27. Video Marketing Done Right Cont.
• A great way of getting in front of that audience is to know what they are
looking for.
• If you are promoting baseball bats, you will want to research all of the top
competing baseball bat manufacturers and brands out there and target
those keywords, and talk briefly about that company and/or product and
explain why yours is better.
• In this example, you can compare the size of the bats, the quality, have any
testimonials about those who have used the bats, and what they are
losing out if they go with another bat versus yours… then at the very end,
a call to action.
• Typically I don’t like to sell directly off the video. My goal is to get them to
the website to get more information, or to optin (list building!) to my list
so I can offer them more info on that product and other related products.
• Keep in mind that if you are selling baseball equipment, you can also do
this for gloves, baseballs, hats, gear, shoes, etc. Just make the video
focused on one thing, and draw them to your larger more general baseball
site or list.
28. My Video Game Plan
• My first video would be an introduction, and talk a bit about the
vision that I have for the video newsletter. Then at the end of that
video, I’ll give them a preview of the next video… and at the end,
remind them to go back to your site and optin (in case they are
watching the video on another site, or remind them of other
specials that you have going on, or plug in a good affiliate offer).
• The second video would be 1st Season, Volume 1. Or it could be 1st
Season, Volume 2 if you want your intro video to be Vol. 1. Does
not matter. Then next year you would make it 2nd Season, Volume
1, etc. Why are we doing this? Think about it… if you stumble upon
2nd Season, Volume 5 for the first time, you’re going to know that
there is quite a bit of content already available for you, and if the
info is good, you’re going to go back and look for it, right?
• Each video would start out with a mini recap of last video, and at
the end, it would preview the next. This technique has been
responsible for quite a loyal subscribership!
29. Turbo Charge Your Video’s
Effectiveness
• Now if you want to turbo charge this method… here’s what do to:
• Take the content from your videos, and make them into articles and submit them
to article directories. Refer back to the articles section in this video on how to
come up with some good articles that people are going to want to read.
• Post those articles on your blog as well and be sure to tag important keywords that
you want to be found for.
• Convert the article into an MP3 by reading it out loud and submit the file to a
podcasting site. Be sure to use the right tags as your keywords as that’s the only
way you’ll get traffic to it.
• Turn your article into a word document and PDF and submit it to other directories.
• Take the videos that you make on YouTube and upload them to your blog, and
have your blog ping settings to ping once a day at most to all the blog sites out
there.
• Take the RSS feed that your blog will produce and submit it to the various
directories. RSS Submit is a good tool to use.
• Social bookmark your blog site.
30. Wrapping Up The Video Section
• Be sure to have an optin form on your blog, and
you may want to have some affiliate offers or
banners up and down the sides to get some
potential sales. If done right, you’re site will be
loved by the search engines!
• Video marketing is not that complex. If just a few
slides I have outlined you what I have done to
make a fortune off videos and build a massive
profit pulling list that makes me money time and
time again!
31. Viral Free Traffic
• Offer resell rights to your products
• People give them away, pass them along and you get
free traffic with your links in the ebooks, etc
• Offer an affiliate program, where any of your
customers or even non‐customers, can promote your
product (or refer it) and earn a percentage of sales.
• Put your site on clickbank.com or paydotcom.com and
get marketers promoting your site for you.
That’s the end of FREE Traffic
