There are two houses; The house of Representatives and
The Senate.
The house of representatives
(150 members divided by
population of states) is
where the government
debate national issues and
make bills.
The Senate, (made up
of equal senators from
each state) can pass or
deny a bill.
Indigenous People
The native people of Australia are called Aboriginal
Australians. They have lived in Australia for 40 000
years. They lived off the land, in tribes with similar
cultures, languages and Dreaming stories.
