UN GLOBAL COMPACT NETWORK INDIA
Background
• UN GCNI has served as a country-level platform for Indian businesses –
Public and Private, academic institutions and CSOs to join hands for
strengthening responsible business practices.
• This organization helps stakeholders align their responsible practices
with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 10
Universally Accepted Global Compact Principles in Human Rights,
Labour, Environment, and Anti-Corruption.
• A website presentably reflecting the pursuit of our mandates, showcasing
our work in programmes, projects, activities and events, along with our
vision, values and success stories is imperative.
Purpose for
Website
Revamping
Goal: Revamping, redesigning and restructuring of the UN
GCNI website
Output: Identifying all the critical and pressing issues,
conceptualizing and defining scope of work through ToR
Audience: Our stakeholders who looking to align their
responsible practices towards the 10 principles and 17
SDGs
Benefits: An appealing interface and an effective, well-
designed website will be great for improving
communications and solidifying our professionalism when
soliciting support from our stakeholders and peers
Intension for RFP: To rearrange the valuable content,
designing an SEO-friendly website structure and easily
accessible and intuitive features
Scope of work*
• Phases: Find the right design/ UI - Fix the issues -
Relaunch Website - Maintenance.
• Requirements : Planning, Development and
Maintenance of the website.
• Deliverables: Highlight mandates that builds brand
image, Clearly showcase work and success stories,
Smooth & fast browsing , interactive and interlinked
pages.
*Detailed TOR in the attached document
Timelines
Find out the bugs and prepare a strategy (2 weeks).
Designing as per global standards ( 2 weeks).
Important content highlight and assembly (2 week).
Programming and development (1 week).
Testing and Review (1 week).
Re Launch
Maintenance, support & security.
Support to be provided
by GCNI
• Single Point of Contact (SPOC), facilities
communication b/w internal teams & vendor.
• Provides relevant information, data, images, videos
or documents in primed/organized format.
• Relevant feedback and approvals in accordance
with the given time frame.
• Any 3rd party liaising and assistance required for
deliverables
• SPOC for any information or dependencies as
required through implementation.

Scope of work* • Phases: Find the right design/ UI - Fix the issues - Relaunch Website - Maintenance. • Requirements : Planning, Development and Maintenance of the website. • Deliverables: Highlight mandates that builds brand image, Clearly showcase work and success stories, Smooth & fast browsing , interactive and interlinked pages. *Detailed TOR in the attached document
  • 5. Timelines Find out the bugs and prepare a strategy (2 weeks). Designing as per global standards ( 2 weeks). Important content highlight and assembly (2 week). Programming and development (1 week). Testing and Review (1 week). Re Launch Maintenance, support & security.
  • 6. Support to be provided by GCNI • Single Point of Contact (SPOC), facilities communication b/w internal teams & vendor. • Provides relevant information, data, images, videos or documents in primed/organized format. • Relevant feedback and approvals in accordance with the given time frame. • Any 3rd party liaising and assistance required for deliverables • SPOC for any information or dependencies as required through implementation.

Editor's Notes

  1. *Proficiency in HTML & CSS, HTML5 & CSS3, WordPress Developer (experience of Wordpress platform and creation / integration of various plugins. Must be able to create Wordpress themes or customized applets / pages as per the platform’s standards, able to deploy the Wordpress or HTML pages on servers) ; PHP Developer ( Should have experience of various PHP frameworks such as Laraval; Must be well aware of OOPs) ; Should be able to write optimised algorithms for various requirements; Must be proficient in establishing Database connection and handling queries ; Database Manager aware of RDBMS and knowing how to create effective database architecture ; UI/UX experience; Graphic Designer ( With working knowledge of designing tools such as photoshop, illustrator et.)

  7. * This will be at the bottom of Homepage. It will include CTA Signups for newsletters etc and navigating through pages on the website including our boilerplate texts, guideline, contact details etc. It may also contain an embedded twitter widget.
