abeș-Bolyai University is the oldest university in Romania, founded in 1581. It is also the largest university in the country, with almost 40.000 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students enrolled in more than 500 programmes. Their University is headquartered in Cluj-Napoca, the capital of the historical province of Transylvania, a dynamic city of 400.000 people, hosting many cultural and social facilities and enjoying a vivid student life.
