WCEI Membership
Women Chiefs of Enterprises International (WCEI) provides an
environment for women to grow and develop in their business and
professions. WCEI directly encourages women to support each other and
aims to enhance the recognition of the professional achievements of
women.
Founded in Australia in 1985 as a non-profit organisation for women
entrepreneurs and business owners, WCEI is affiliated with the international
network known as Les Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales (FCEM). WCEI is
also affiliated with or holds membership in a number of international organisations
which share similar goals to WCEI.
WCEI is committed to supporting sustainable
business and social development among women
in Australia. WCEI encourages every member to
recognise her responsibility to create change for
a better future.

support, establish business and personal
contacts and address common concerns.
Promoting the active exchange and sharing
of experience between business owners and
leaders and leading by positive example.

Members
WCEI Encourages the development of
entrepreneurial skills and attributes through:
Runs her own business, or is a senior
executive in a corporate, government or not
for profit organisation;
ls professionally qualified and belongs to a
number of professional organisations;
ls a Director on a number of Boards;
Has contributed to policy-making by being
appointed to government taskforces and
working parties;
ls involved in her community through leading
or contributing to volunteer not for profits and
charitable organisations;
Has been recognised for the breadth and
depth of her talent, expertise and community
involvement through government or non-
governmental awards and other forms of
recognition

Economic Security 4 Women; one of six
National Women's Alliances funded by the
federal Office for Women. Economic
Security 4 Women engages with Australian
women to identify the issues they face and
establish those of primary importance in
order to contribute to national policy reform.
