promotes bias. There should be awareness that there are a lot of assumptions that have
an impact on our decisions and behaviors. To reduce bias in workplace organizations
should actively include the scope of addressing concerns that are related to workplace
bias in their leadership development programs.

• Awareness of unconscious bias decreases our dependence on typecasts.
• Setting up a clear objective criterion before decision-making so that bias is
removed.
• Making the decision-makers accountable and setting standardized parameters to
check their decision-making
• Conduct confidential surveys of employees to find out what happens in the
employment process.
• Provide training to the leaders and employees to make them aware of their internal
biases, if there is any, and help them mitigate such biases.

• Reminding oneself about why recognizing bias is important and persistently trying to be fair.
