water@leeds is an interdisciplinary research center at the University of Leeds focused on water-related challenges including climate change, population increase, and urban development. It brings together over 100 research-active staff with expertise in areas like water chemistry, catchment management, wastewater treatment, and hydrodynamics. Recent projects include studying the effects of moorland burning on river ecosystems, the role of sediments in water quality, and outburst floods in arid climates. water@leeds also provides consultancy, training, education, innovation/testing, and knowledge exchange on various water topics.
