All living things need water and air to survive. Water exists as a solid, liquid, or gas and is mostly saltwater in oceans, while freshwater is found in rivers, lakes, icecaps, and groundwater. Air is a mixture of gases found in the atmosphere surrounding Earth. It is necessary for plants and animals to photosynthesize and breathe. Wind is moving air caused by temperature differences that transports air from one place to another and causes clouds to move.
