9.  WCLS provides public library service at three schools,
supports literacy and school curricula, and informs students,
parents and school-district staff about library resources and
services
 Partnership libraries at Duncan Elementary, Verdi
Elementary and Gerlach K-12
 WCLS representatives provide library information and
edutainment workshops/presentations and booths @
Reading/Literacy nights, Career Days etc. at elementary,
middle and high schools, and provide Professional
Development workshops for educators.
 First Grade Initiative—targeting ALL 1st graders at public and
private schools
 Parent University partner providing WCLS informational
workshops, host library tours, Family Access Day
presentations
 WCLS partnered in the Striving Readers Grant which
expanded the Parent University/WCLS workshops and added
the school-wide card carrying initiative and public library
tours as part of class offerings
