This document is a magazine providing information on events and activities occurring from August 28 to September 3 at USAG Red Cloud, Camp Casey, and surrounding areas in Korea. It announces a Labor Day festival at Camp Casey on August 31st with carnival games, rides, and entertainment. It also advertises an Operation Rising Star singing competition on September 28th and October 12th for military members and families to compete for cash prizes. Additionally, it provides the schedule for upcoming BOSS trips, sports leagues, and movies showing at Area I theaters that week.
This month, members shared their concerns at Sept. 8's breakfast meeting with speaker Ted Pitts, President and CEO of the SC Chamber of Commerce, so he could give them answers and take their issues to the next level.
Ted also gave a recap of the 2015 Legislative Session and addressed developments in infrastructure and workforce.
Couldn't make it to the breakfast, but still have a question you want answered? Email randy@lexingtonsc.org and we will pass it along!
Your Guide To USAG Red Cloud, Casey and Area I Family, MWR Events and Activities. Submissions for the weekly Warrior’s Compass are due before the close of business every Friday. Work orders are not required. Information for the Warrior’s Compass should be sent to matthew.c.ritter.mil@mail.mil on or before close-of-business Friday.

Hello Area 1 Community Members!
I would like to say “Thank You” for
participating in our Independence Day
Celebration July 4th at Camp Casey. What
a change from last year where you stood
fast during the “on and off” again rains, this
year we had bright beautiful sunny skies and
though at times it was quite warm, the smiles
on your faces and your laughter could be
heard throughout the event site. From food eating contest, Warrior’s
Got Talent show, games, rides, entertainment, food and beverage there was so much to offer, so much fun and what more could one say except “WOW” when the fireworks capped off a perfect day.
Area 1 has a lot going on in August check out some of our favorites:
Commander's Cup Video Challenge at all Area I CACs, CRC BOSS "Hoop it UP", Commander's Cup Intramural Golf at Casey and CRC, DMZ Trips with sign ups at Area I CACs, Family Rail Bike Trip to Gangchon, Comedy Show at Gateway, CYSS Open House, you can find all these and more in the August ITZ magazine, “Happy Reading!”
Just before the start of the GRC Annual Meeting & GEA Geo Expo+, the GRC Annual Charity Golf Tournament will take place October 1 at the Mountain Dell Golf Course just 16 miles from the conference site. Registration for the tournament is now open.
