The Wimmera Advocacy Connections project provides disability awareness training on topics such as inclusive communication, physical access, employment, acceptance and understanding, and meeting formats. The training is offered to agencies, organizations, and businesses in the Wimmera region of Australia and is intended to increase awareness of disability issues and the right to equal opportunities. Sessions are 30 minutes and can be booked through the Wimmera Hub for a cost of $80 per hour plus $3.50 per attendee, with a maximum of 20 people per group.

One of the aims of WAC is to increase awareness regarding disability issues
with Wimmera agencies, organisations and business groups about the right to
equal opportunities and expectations for people with a disability.
Disability Awareness Training Modules
Each disability awareness training module is approximately 30 minutes in duration
which allows for presentation and questions/comments.

* Meeting Formats
Training in your work place or organisation is cost effective and delivered by the
Disability Awareness Training program developers.
Costing Structure
$80 per hour (two trainers conduct each training session)
$3.50 per person attending. 20 people per group maximum or by negotiation.
Travelling @65 cents per km.
Accommodation & meals if required by negotiation.
