This document summarizes the Teacher Performance Assessment for early childhood education students in Washington state. The assessment consists of 4 tasks: planning instruction, instructing and engaging students, assessing student learning, and analyzing teaching practice. It is intended to demonstrate students' understanding of teaching and student learning through authentic examples from their student teaching experience. The assessment was developed with input from teachers, teacher educators, and national education organizations to evaluate teaching quality.
This study examined the relationship between school climate and student growth in select Michigan charter schools. The author administered the Organizational Climate Descriptive Questionnaire for Elementary Schools (OCDQ-RE) survey to 355 teachers from 11 charter schools to assess teacher perceptions of school climate. Student growth data were calculated using reading and math scores from fall and spring standardized tests. The results of the Pearson correlation and linear regression analyses found significant relationships between principal openness and student growth, teacher openness and student growth, and whether a school had an open or closed climate and student growth. In summary, the study concluded that there is a significant relationship between school climate and student growth in Michigan charter schools.

Educators' views of children have evolved from seeing children as empty vessels to be filled to recognizing children as competent learners. When educators view children as capable, they create environments that reflect children's interests and support holistic growth. This allows children to explore, problem solve, and build relationships as they construct their own understandings of the world.
This research report examines mathematics education for children ages 3-8. It discusses views of mathematics that emphasize relationships, learning environments, and engaging children's preconceptions. Good pedagogy integrates factual knowledge with conceptual frameworks and promotes metacognition. Teaching practices should encourage math talk, modeling, challenging tasks, and formative assessment. The curriculum aims to develop mathematical processes like communicating, reasoning, and problem-solving. Partnerships with parents and ongoing teacher professional development are also emphasized.

"Just Imagine!" a Strategic Foresight exerciseJohn Ratcliffe
Having just completed a Strategic Foresight exercise for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) entitled "Just Imagine!", I am convinced that the RICS stands at a crossroads; a turning-point that is only encountered once every few decades. Arguably, the next five to ten years will be a time of massive transition for everyone, everywhere. For the RICS, the big question is: will it be a period of dithering about direction – some progress here, some retreat there – or will it be a period where, emboldened by a ‘new mindset’, the Institution venturesomely sets out on a fresh path towards a spectacular new future? What is needed, to my mind, is nothing short of a “Grand Transformation”.
This document provides instructions for a mathematics exam consisting of 100 total marks across 18 printed pages. It is divided into two parts: Part One contains 10 multiple choice questions worth 10 marks, and Part Two contains 12 structured questions worth 90 marks. Candidates must answer all questions, showing all working on the exam pages provided. No extra paper or calculators are allowed. The document also provides 4 pages for rough work that will not be marked.
This document provides an overview of ACT's holistic framework for education and workplace success. It discusses four domains: core academic skills, cross-cutting capabilities, behavioral skills, and education/career navigation. For each domain, it outlines frameworks describing the knowledge and skills within that domain, how they relate to important outcomes, and how they were developed. It argues that while traditional assessments have focused only on core academic subjects, success requires a broader range of competencies. The frameworks aim to provide a more holistic and empirically-validated understanding of readiness.

This systematic literature review examined the economic implications of chemotherapy-induced diarrhea (CID) and its impact on quality of life. The review identified 22 studies, including 17 that assessed health-related quality of life and 5 that evaluated healthcare resource utilization. Only 2 studies specifically examined quality of life in patients experiencing CID. The cost studies found that CID episodes are expensive and could be avoided with earlier diagnosis and treatment. Overall, better management of CID could reduce costs and improve patient quality of life, though more large-scale studies are needed to fully understand the economic and humanistic burden of CID.

Thesis on barriers to e commerce in jamaica - Patrick Thompson Patrick Thompson
General studies speak to the benefits of e-Commerce globally for developing countries. However for developed countries of the Caribbean Community and Latin America, the barriers far outweigh the benefits for Micro, Small to Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The barriers can be categorised in three main areas namely financial, technological and socio-political with possible educational issues associated with the research. Other external factors such as trust, security, logistics, management, and global competition were also identified. To determine if these barriers were issues affecting the Jamaican context, the author visited and interviewed six MSMEs, three major financial institutions, three tertiary institution to determine the challenges faced by them for the full adoption of e-Commerce. The method of analysis was qualitative and the data collection process comprised of semi-structured interviews.
