2. EPC work of UMPP & coal Mine is looked after as site HOD(Fin) related to all
activities of Project site. i.e. Implementation of SAP system for Finance
(FICO) & MM module for Free issue material consumption & accounting with
each package for cost control.
3. Taxation work for MP portion for transmission line work executed through R-
infra for Group company e.g. Western Gujrat Transmission co. & North
Karanpura Transmission company etc & also road work of Group company in
MP area being looked after from our site including assessment of Taxation.
4. Taxation work of EPC Division for Local VAT & Service Tax/Excise related
matter. Assessment for Local Tax (VAT)/Labor Cess under BOCW Act/ Excise
& service Tax matter including co-ordination with all deptt for day to day work
and annual assessment under the respective Act. In addition to routine
assessment optimization of Tax liabilities is also associated in contract
structure etc.
5. Review of EPC Budget for each package with respect to approved cost budget
& reporting of deviation cases.
6. Finalization of contract closing process & review of deviation statement with
reference to Engg Qty vs actual Qty and forwarding Note for approval after
review of each case in all respect. Internal Audit & account closing activities
for site related work being looked after for compliance & completion as per
target date.
7. Settlement of Insurance claims for Engg & Marine under Mega policy and
recovery of amount attributable to agency where amount is fully not
recovered from Insurance company .i.e. Logistic contractor/Package.
8. Periodic review of risk assessment and mitigation action plan for the same.
Budget review, variance analysis & cost sheet & cash flow etc on regular
basis.
9. Implementation of various system & Procedure at Project site for Finance,
store & Purchase Deptt and Other Deptt as per site requirement i.e. SAP, Fuel
Management system, Land acquisition system, CSR Payment process and
store management and associated for finalization of system of Mining &
Maintenance and power Plant Production module.
10. Co-ordination with Inernal and Statutory auditor for finalization of audit and
accounts as per co’s requirement.
11. Co-ordination for finalization of Major Insurance claims and associated with
survey team of Insurance company for Mega policy of project.
12. Associated with site visit of lender team and finalization of quarterly report
from site and also associated for working capital funds at NTPC Ltd including
daily cash Management & management of intra day OD Limit etc. for optimum
utilization of Funds & Investment etc. Also associated with IPO of NTPC Ltd.
13. Capitalisation of Main Plant and Mining division and formulation of policy
guidelines for accounting purpose in line with company’s requirement.

2. M/s Nippon Denro Ispat Ltd, Nagpur :
Worked from July’1985 to Dec’1988 and during this period I was associated with sales
tax, sales accounting and stores accounting area of the unit. Review of old outstanding
debtors carries out and action plan for recovery of old outstanding debtors submitted in
consultation with Marketing deptt.. Further, vendor registration for high value/critical
item was done in order to get best negotiated rates and payment terms.
3. NTPC LIMITED : worked in different unit as per details given below :
(i) Anta Gas Power Project : Dec’1988 to April’1997 :A.O.
During this period I was associated with finalization of Accounts of the unit including
capitalization of Plant as contract was awarded on Turnkey basis. I was also looking after
concurrence of contact & Purchases. Submission of various Sales Tax & income Tax
returns as per requirement of Act and completion of sales Tax Assessment
Associated with assessment of all risk to be covered for main plant including break down
policy and also settlement of Major claims for more than Rs 4 cr.
(ii) Vindyachal Super Thermal Power Station : April’97 to Aperil’99 : Dy Mgr
Associated as Finance Member for finalization of Various Construction & Maintenance
Contract of Power station. During the above period IInd Phase expansion of VSTPP plant
and also for operation and maintenance of plant. Finalisation of Accounts including
capitalization of expansion of plant and coordination with statutory, Internal &
Government Auditor.
(iii) Faridabad Gas Power Station ; From May’99 to April’05 Dy/Manager(Fin)
Joined at Faridabad Gas power Station at initial stage of construction of plant and all the
systems and procedures was finalized including computerization of Accounts and stores
etc. Further, the contract for Combined cycle gas based plant was awarded on turnkey
basis all the activities identified for capitalsation as per accounting requirement. At
project level associated for looking of entire department. Best practice adopted by the
Finance department was appreciated by the CII team during review and given certificate
of appreciation to the Faridabad Gas power station. All the work of Station was handled
by the undersigned including supplier, commercial matter i.e. finalization of Tariff with
CERC, sales Tax, Income Tax matter, EPS ‘95 and submission of various statutory
returns & Risk Management including settlement of Insurance claims against Insurance
Policy etc. Also, associated for finalization of all the contracts including negotiation etc
as Finance Member.
(iv) NTPC LTD CORPORATE CENTRE : (I) Establishment Section : April’05 to
Oct’06 : Looked after Corporate Establishment Group including Bills section. Besides
this, also associated with vetting of proposal relating to corporate policy group and
empanellement of Hospital, coordinator at AGM etc. Further, associated as member for
establishment module for ERP implementation.
(ii) Corporate Treasury Group (Bank Section) : Oct’06 to 30.04.2008 :
Looking after entire cash Management for optimum utilization of Funds of company on
daily basis. Working as nodal officer for corporate Internet Banking and associating for
implementation of Internet banking at all the project/station/offices.
Daily Cash Management and daily/Monthly MIS to top management is submitted for
actual cash inflow & Outflow during the period. Coordination with all the Banks for day
to day operation and optimum utilization of funds also associated for drawl of term loan
and arranging Intraday OD facilities as well as OD limit for working capital requirement
etc..and also loan against private placement of Bond etc from LIC/IDBI etc.
