The parents signed a contract agreeing to send their daughter Marieta P. Berto to the Sisters of Mary BoysTown and GirlsTown Complex. This would provide her with free high-quality education, boarding, clothing, medical care, and annual transportation assistance for school breaks. The parents agreed not to remove her from the program early or without permission. They understood the school's credentials would not be released if she left without approval.
1. CONTRACT
We parent of MARIETA P. BERTO, is begging you to accept our child in Sisters
of Mary Boystown and Girstown Complex, at Sta. Mesa, Manila.
Accepting her will have the privilege of high standard education that commonly
give to those who can afford or rich, and this was given for free.
Including of free and high standard education, the Sisters of Mary will sustain
board and lodging, clothes, sport wears, medicine and other needs in dental and health
care.
Our child will be given financial assistance for transportation every annual
vacation.
If our child would have contagious sickness and can’t be cured in Boystown and
Girlstown, we’ll accept her gladly.
We agree in acceptance of our child in sisters of Mary, we will not get her, take
her out or visit at Boystown and Girlstown Complex, even temporarily, unless we had
malignant sickness or parted ways.
We also agreed to encourage her to strive more to her studies in Boystown or
Girlstown. We know that we can’t get the credential records of our child if we will take
her out. And if our child would leave without the knowledge of Boystown and Girlstown,
they are not liable for what ever happen to our child and credentials won’t be released.
To certify, we signed this contract at Tambong, Gloria, Oriental Mindoro, this 29th
of April, 2000.
