About us
The hosting organisation is a non-profit and non- government organization established last July 07,
2015 in Cebu City, Philippines. The organization aims to promote people empowerment and
connectivity through the spirit of volunteerism and building communities for sustainable development.
Also the organization wants to enhance the inter-cultural interactions of people around the world
through exchange and development focusing on a three-point agenda to wit: (1) Global Citizenship
and Voluntary Service Exchange; (2) Global Education, Service Training and Capability
Building; and (3) Global Social Development Initiatives with Partner Communities.
Under each agenda are specific programs, activities and projects that focuses on social issues like
education, health and gender sensitivity, children, youth and women participation in society, peace and
rights-based issues, IEC for DRR inclusive for persons with disabilities, training and capability
building related to the environment, language barrier and other impact social development projects and
activities in marginalized communities.
Hosting organisation is a full member of the Network for Voluntary Development in Asia (NVDA), an
official partners of International Cultural Youth Exchange Federation (ICYE) and organization of the
Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organizations (ALLIANCE). It is also registered with the
Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) as a Volunteer Service
Organization, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as a Social Welfare
Organization and the National Youth Commission (NYC) as a Youth Serving Organization of the
Philippine Government.
Fees
There is an initial fee of 40€.
If you are selected, you will pay 110€ for the preparation and management.
Once you arrive to the country, you will pay the fee directly to your hosting organisation (minimum one month
stay).

ORGANIZATION/ COMMUNITY CONTEX Bety Bantug- Benitez; The Inspiraton Of the Foundaton. Her mind was
forever teeming with bright, benevolent and beautful projects for our
Filipino children. And how she worked hard for the fulfllment of these
plans up to her last stay in this world. Inspired by her unwavering
commitment to labor with love for the children of today and tomorrow,
the foundaton joins Bety in making her bright, benevolent and beautful
dreams, a reality. Two decades ago, this women of commitment was
honored with the creaton of the Bety Bantug Benitez Foundaton, barely
three months following her passing in June 1982. Bearing her full name,
foundaton aimed to contnue her work, refectng her compassion and
love, especially for children.

ORGANIZATION/COMMUNITY CONTEXT The Livingstone Christan Academy is a non-stock, non-proft
learning insttuton with students from Nursery, Kindergarten,
Elementary and Junior High School.
It is situated in a peaceful community where public
transportaton is readily available. It is only about 10 minutes’
drive to the nearest mall and hospital facilites.

COMMUNITY CONTEXT
Barili is a 2nd municipal income class municipality in the province
of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a
populaton of 73,862.[3]
In the 2016 electoral roll, it had 42,831
registered voters.[4]
Patupat Elementary School is located in Brgy. Patupat which is one
of the barangay of Barili and it is located 67 kilometers south from
Cebu City. It is accessible to all kinds of land transportaton.
It has a tropical climate and seldom visited by typhoons.
The barangay is one of the few barangays in Barili awarded for
having consttuents.
VOLUNTEER’S REQUIREMENTS

AIMS OF THE PROJECT
 To establish a disability – Inclusive Filipino Society
 To work for an inclusive compassionate society
where Person with Disabilites (PWD’s) can realize
their full potentals as co-equal partners in naton-
building.
 To serve as an advocacy arena where concerned
individuals and insttutons work together to
promote the rights and enttlements as well as
issues and concerns of the disability community
 To functon as a knowledge and resource center for
the disability community and their families.
 To allow the disability community to act as
advocates in the areas of disability inclusion.
 To train and form volunteers with the necessary
knowledge, skills and values to become competent
and creatve people; who are open to change; having
a deep sense of justce and faith expressed in their
concern and commitment to the service of the

ORGANIZATION/COMMUNITY CONTEXT
Philippine Accessible Disability Services, Inc. (PADS) is an
independent non-government organizaton, working to enable
the PWD community to grow and develop as independent
integrated, fully human and empowered citzens in society.
PADS works closely with various partners and stakeholders on
programs that aim to promote deaf human rights and
volunteering for the deaf community, increase partcipaton of
the Deaf in electoral processes and enhance skills access and
opportunites of the Filipino Sign Language (FSL). It is part of
the “Break the Silence” (BTS) Network in the Philippines, a
campaign strategy started by the Stairway Foundaton Inc. to
advocate for child sexual abuse preventon. PADS plays a vital
role in the BTS network as it brings in a unique, much-needed
expertse and program experience on working with deaf
children and adults.
The PADS Ofce and its partner areas are conveniently located
near town/city centres. Public transportatons are also readily
available to visit department stores/malls, hospitals, schools,
historical and cultural landmarks and other leisure areas.

ORGANIZATION/COMMUNITY CONTEXT
Saceda Youth Lead is a recognized NGO on youth
empowerment and development by the Department of
Educaton, and Commission on Higher Educaton. It has
empowered more than 200,000 youths and teachers in all its
programs and actvites in the Philippines and the ASEAN
region.
SYL believes that through our youth and our teachers we will
see the future of our country and through their good deeds we
will prosper as one naton. It believes that educaton is the
backbone of our economy and it needs greater partnership and
collaboraton with other insttutons to empower the Youth to
become beter citzens by providing them opportunites in
leadership, community service and social acton. It believes in
the ripples of modest beginnings that societal transformaton
must start from within and that involves training and
awakening of the self; given the chance and guidance, one can
become an agent of change for God and
country.

The Global Initatve for Exchange and Development Inc.
(Hostng organisaton) was established in July 07, 2015 with the
primary aim to promote various meaningful collaboratons in
building local communites and empowering people to be

Hostng organisaton is located at the heart of Cebu City. From
the Centre you can conveniently walk to many important
landmarks, historical and cultural sites of Cebu. It is also very
close to shopping centres, hospitals, schools, parks, etc. Public
transportaton are also readily available t o visit department
stores/malls and other
leisure areas.

ORGANIZATION/ COMMUNITY
CONTEXT
Barangay Gilutongan Island, Cordova, Cebu has approximately 1,500 people who
live in the island. It is 30 minutes by boat from the main land. Some of the
residence did not experience to travel and see the city life.
Fishing is the main source of their income. Most of the residence doesn’t have
alternatve way of living. Waste management is one of their common issues.
They don’t have the enough capacity for their health and educaton. This island

ORGANIZATION/ COMMUNITY
CONTEXT
BPCFI establishes, maintains, and operates as agency primarily for the
marginalized and less privileged families of Mabolo, Cebu City. For the
past several years, members and families of BPCFI have grown in
numbers. Some migrated to diferent places in Cebu, while the houses
of some of the families were demolished and thus they were forced to
transfer to other places. In spite of these obstacles, the relatonship
between these families and BPCFI stood frm through communicaton,
especially through home and school visitaton.
At the start, BPCFI operated in the sitos and barangays of Cebu City,
specifcally Barangay Mabolo. As the years went by, its work spread to
diferent municipalites of Cebu and the diferent islands of the
Visayas region. However, the bulk of its benefciaries stll come from
Mabolo.
The benefciaries of BPCFI are mainly children and youth from age 3 to
24 belonging to underprivileged and under-served communites and
families. These children and youth are part of the BPCFI Educatonal
Programs, and about 85 percent are given support through the
Support at a Distance Program (SAAD).
In recent years BPCFI expanded its services to cater to a wider range
of clientele that covers not only those children and youth who are
part of the SAAD Program. BPCFI, through its services, reached out to
the parents of the children and youth and their communites,
providing some health services and skills training services.

January 7, 2019 to June 2019.

The Province of Nueva Ecija is comprised of 5 Cites, 27
Municipalites and 849 Barangays. It has a populaton of 2.15
Million that is projected to reach 2.35 Million in 2017. As an
aferthought, the populaton of male outnumbered female by
gender rato of 1:2 in accordance of number of males for every 100
females. People are devoted to farming, the main source of
livelihood of its consttuents.
Situated in the heart of Nueva Ecija Province in the Philippines is
KasanibsaPag-AbotngPangarap (Partner i n A c h i e v i n g
Aspiratons/Dreams) LFCI-KPPI, an insttuton dedicated to promote
entrepreneurship and work while caring for the people’s health,
educaton, and the environment. This insttuton has 9,341 members
in which 95% are women. Most of the members main sources of
livelihood or income are farming, tricycle (motorized
wagons) driving and Sari-Sari (small household) stores.

The First High School for Hearing Impaired (FHSHI) is a high school in
Cebu City to serve persons with hearing disabilites since 1982. It is in
fact that in so far there are limited colleges, or even government
schools that ofer relevant educatonal opportunites to persons with
disabilites as hearing impaired, visually impaired those with learning
disabilites, the physically handicapped.
The school commits itself in promotng educaton of the children with
special needs through relevant lifelong learning skills in order to give
them equal opportunites with other students in regular schools.
The school has been engaging in bringing the classroom back to life of
the children with special needs. All teachers engaged in Actve
Learning Process employing the cooperatve learning procedure, all in
sign languages. Computers are connected to the web / internet brings
the students interest back in the classroom. We have been aiming to
win the learners back to school as place of fun, friendly and fostering
atmosphere for learners to be functonally literate.

CONTEXT
The Municipality of Alegria, a 4th class town, is one of the local
government units (47 municipalites and fve cites of the Province of
Cebu, and one of the 15 municipalites in the 2nd
Congressional district
of the province.
It only takes three (3) hours to reach the Municipality on a non-stop
drive from Cebu City passing the Cebu City-Carcar City, Barili-Alegria
route and four and a half hours passing the Cebu City- Santander-
Samboan- Alegria route.
This Demo farm is design the integrated of vegetable, livestock and
poultry producton enterprise development project is a perfect
combinaton to improve and increase the proftability of countryside
entrepreneurship, simultaneously reducing the cost of producton. Its
inter-relatonship would provide a complementary existence making it
possible to atain an optmum productvity at low cost.
This project is to be implemented in the Municipality of Alegria which
is one of the major sources of vegetables and livestock of Metro Cebu
and its adjacent provinces. The suitability of agricultural crops with the
basic skills of the farming communites is ideal due to the bio-physical
and climatc conditon of the area and further sustained by the
existence of vegetable traders and strong people’s organizaton.

  • 3. About us The hosting organisation is a non-profit and non- government organization established last July 07, 2015 in Cebu City, Philippines. The organization aims to promote people empowerment and connectivity through the spirit of volunteerism and building communities for sustainable development. Also the organization wants to enhance the inter-cultural interactions of people around the world through exchange and development focusing on a three-point agenda to wit: (1) Global Citizenship and Voluntary Service Exchange; (2) Global Education, Service Training and Capability Building; and (3) Global Social Development Initiatives with Partner Communities. Under each agenda are specific programs, activities and projects that focuses on social issues like education, health and gender sensitivity, children, youth and women participation in society, peace and rights-based issues, IEC for DRR inclusive for persons with disabilities, training and capability building related to the environment, language barrier and other impact social development projects and activities in marginalized communities. Hosting organisation is a full member of the Network for Voluntary Development in Asia (NVDA), an official partners of International Cultural Youth Exchange Federation (ICYE) and organization of the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organizations (ALLIANCE). It is also registered with the Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) as a Volunteer Service Organization, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as a Social Welfare Organization and the National Youth Commission (NYC) as a Youth Serving Organization of the Philippine Government. Fees There is an initial fee of 40€. If you are selected, you will pay 110€ for the preparation and management. Once you arrive to the country, you will pay the fee directly to your hosting organisation (minimum one month stay).

Patupat which is one of the barangay of Barili and it is located 67 kilometers south from Cebu City. It is accessible to all kinds of land transportaton. It has a tropical climate and seldom visited by typhoons. The barangay is one of the few barangays in Barili awarded for having consttuents. It is 30 minutes by boat from the main land. Some of the residence did not experience to travel and see the city life. Fishing is the main source of their income. Most of the residence doesn’t have alternatve way of living. Waste management is one of their common issues. They don’t have the enough capacity for their health and educaton. This island needs a lot of help from the volunteers and to enhance and maintain the beauty of the island. Basically the workcamp will focus on assistng for the school renovaton and beautfcaton in order to compete with natonal standards for the public schools. For the past several years, members and families of BPCFI have grown in numbers. Some migrated to diferent places in Cebu, while the houses of some of the families were demolished and thus they were forced to transfer to other places. In spite of these obstacles, the relatonship between these families and BPCFI stood frm through communicaton, especially through home and school visitaton. At the start, BPCFI operated in the sitos and barangays of Cebu City, specifcally Barangay Mabolo. As the years went by, its work spread to diferent municipalites of Cebu and the diferent islands of the Visayas region. However, the bulk of its benefciaries stll come from Mabolo. The benefciaries of BPCFI are mainly children and youth from age 3 to 24 belonging to underprivileged and under-served communites and families. These children and youth are part of the BPCFI Educatonal Programs, and about 85 percent are given support through the

In recent years BPCFI expanded its services to cater to a wider range of clientele that covers not only those children and youth who are part of the SAAD Program. BPCFI, through its services, reached out to the parents of the children and youth and their communites, providing some health services and skills training services. ORGANIZATION/COMMUNITY CONTEXT The Province of Nueva Ecija is comprised of 5 Cites, 27 Municipalites and 849 Barangays. It has a populaton of 2.15 Million that is projected to reach 2.35 Million in 2017. As an aferthought, the populaton of male outnumbered female by gender rato of 1:2 in accordance of number of males for every 100 females. People are devoted to farming, the main source of livelihood of its consttuents. Situated in the heart of Nueva Ecija Province in the Philippines is KasanibsaPag-AbotngPangarap (Partner i n A c h i e v i n g Aspiratons/Dreams) LFCI-KPPI, an insttuton dedicated to promote entrepreneurship and work while caring for the people’s health, educaton, and the environment. This insttuton has 9,341 members in which 95% are women. Most of the members main sources of livelihood or income are farming, tricycle (motorized wagons) driving and Sari-Sari (small household) stores. COMMUNITY CONTEXT The First High School for Hearing Impaired (FHSHI) is a high school in Cebu City to serve persons with hearing disabilites since 1982. It is in fact that in so far there are limited colleges, or even government schools that ofer relevant educatonal opportunites to persons with disabilites as hearing impaired, visually impaired those with learning disabilites, the physically handicapped. The school commits itself in promotng educaton of the children with special needs through relevant lifelong learning skills in order to give them equal opportunites with other students in regular schools. The school has been engaging in bringing the classroom back to life of the children with special needs. All teachers engaged in Actve Learning Process employing the cooperatve learning procedure, all in sign languages. Computers are connected to the web / internet brings the students interest back in the classroom. We have been aiming to win the learners back to school as place of fun, friendly and fostering atmosphere for learners to be functonally literate. This Demo farm is design the integrated of vegetable, livestock and poultry producton enterprise development project is a perfect combinaton to improve and increase the proftability of countryside entrepreneurship, simultaneously reducing the cost of producton. Its inter-relatonship would provide a complementary existence making it possible to atain an optmum productvity at low cost. This project is to be implemented in the Municipality of Alegria which is one of the major sources of vegetables and livestock of Metro Cebu and its adjacent provinces. The suitability of agricultural crops with the basic skills of the farming communites is ideal due to the bio-physical and climatc conditon of the area and further sustained by the existence of vegetable traders and strong people’s organizaton.
