  1. How I started with VT and a brief overview of the day- what it is, benefits of, application, explore, envision, create an account
  2. With VoiceThread, group conversations are collected and shared in one place from anywhere in the world. A VoiceThread is a collaborative, multimedia slide show that holds images, documents, and videos and allows people to navigate slides and leave comments in 5 ways - using voice (with a mic or telephone), text, audio file, or video (via a webcam). Share a VoiceThread with friends, students, and colleagues for them to record comments too.Users can doodle while commenting, use multiple identities, and pick which comments are shown through moderation. VoiceThreads can even be embedded to show and receive comments on other websites and exported to MP3 players or DVDs to play as archival movies
  3. VT has allowed us to extend out classroom beyond ours walls, and the clock and time zones! It has allowed all kids equal time to have a voice! It has given comments equal weight and everyone a chance to be heard. VT allows kids opportunity to prepare, practice comments easing comfort levels, increases involvement of parents and grandparents, better tool for assessments in younger students who are more verbal.
  4. VT is multi-functional and has endless possibilities! I have used it for math, literacy, social studies, science, assessment, word study, and global communications! Poetry tag, global classroom, Book share, E-portfolio, reader’s notebook, writers notebook, homework, summer communications, learn more about kids and families, (then and now, Cynthia’s violin, Erik kinevel, Josh’s webkins) Keep in touch with friends (Emily and Sydneys elf hunt)
