Voice mail allows sending sound files instead of text messages. The recipient can listen to the sender's voice or other sounds. The technology uses ASP.NET, C#, a development server, internal database, WCF services, Silverlight, Visual Web Developer 2010 Express, AJAX, and fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Sound files are sent in WAV format with WAV headers and can be uncompressed and unfiltered, allowing the recipient to listen to the sender's voice message.
