2. This is the old lining. It's
torn and has holes in it. i
had it removed.
3. This is the new lining i
had made from a light
silk material. It is very
strong. Made to same
size as the original. Even
the label i had removed
and added from the old
piece.
4. outside still in mint
condition. it has been
stored in a cool
temperature
5. inside the lining has
been removed. I
carefully turned the
piece inside out, and
every surface of raw
hide has received at
least 6 coats on Dubbin
You will notice that there
are some parts which have
not been treated. This is
where the leather has been
doubled over (no lining).
These zones i have not
exposed.
6. Inside.
This area has been
treated with Dubbin.
Inside.
This area has NOT been treated. It is
still stitched and original. treatment
may be required.
7. Cut here
The bottom can be shortened by an inch, so
that the jacket ends just below the pocket.
This alteration is at your discretion.
If it can be done without damaging the piece,
go ahead. You can then reuse this piece
elsewhere as a patch.
8. Right hand has a small
tear along the seam. This
is minor.
9. Left hand is the worst
affected. It has several tears,
and may need the extra piece
from the bottom as
reinforcement / replacement.
10. This area has not
received any treatment
and remains original
Dubbin
applied to
both pockets
