choosing their undergrad.
I prepared solutions and mixtures to conduct experiments
Presented various chemical experiments to the students (Chromatography, create nylon, super saturated
solutions, fireworks, etc)
Phase 1 ESA
Scope of project includes historical site-specific research and faculty interviews to identify any potential
or actual sources of environmental impacts on the property of focus
A report detailing the results of each investigation was completed
An independent ESAand class ESA were conducted and completed to meet CSAstandard
Trophic Status Identification
Scope of project involved the collection and analysis of water samples from a known stratified lake for
the generalphysical, chemical, and biological analysis, as well as the interconnection between the results.
Additional responsibilities included the collection of basic field parameters, the development of the lake
TLC profile, a generalmetals analysis, and a technical report detailing results of the study.
Classificationof Soil Type
Scope of project involved the collection and analysis of soil samples from a known uniform site for a soil
horizon analysis, as well as a physical, chemical, and biological analysis.
Additional responsibilities included the classification of basic soil parameters such as texture, structure,
and water holding capacity. The procedures and results were compiled in a detailed technical report.

Scope of study involved the basic methods and procedure of leveling with use of field instruments.
Field School Experience
Acquisition and interpretation of geological field data along the shore of the Northumberland Strait
(north of Antigonish)
Additional responsibilities included documenting field-work performed daily, including strike, dips and
plunge measurements to accurately map geologic formations.
