To diversify operations, LMW collaborated with Japan’s Mori Seiki Co. Ltd to establish the Machine Tool Division in 1988, which is the first of its kind plant in India manufactures CNC Turning Centres, Machining Centres and Turnmill Centres. In 1995, LMW joined hands with Mikron, Switzerland for manufacture of CNC Universal Boring and Milling machines for Tool Room. In addition to selling the machines in domestic market LMW had buy back arrangement with Mikron.

What is VMC?
A Vertical Machining Center (VMC) is a milling machine with a vertically oriented
spindle for precision machining.
It has three axes of movement X (horizontal), Y (vertical), Z (depth) , an automatic
tool changer (ATC), and CNC control for efficient and precise operations.
VMCs are used in various industries, featuring a vertical spindle for downward
cutting forces and are capable of handling diverse materials.
They excel in tasks like drilling, cutting, and shaping, making them valuable in
