Venture Backed Exits - Q4 '07/full year 2007

- Venture-backed IPOs increased in Q4 2007, with 31 IPOs raising $3 billion, the highest quarterly number since 2000. For the year, 86 companies went public raising $10.3 billion. - However, M&A deals declined to the lowest quarterly level since 1998, with 46 deals. Average disclosed deal value reached a 7-year high of $290 million. - For the full year, 305 companies were acquired for a total disclosed value of $25.4 billion, the highest since 2000.
