Plants need sunlight to photosynthesize and produce food. An experiment is described where a bucket is placed over grass to block sunlight. After a few days, the grass under the bucket is less green and after a week is very dull, as it cannot photosynthesize without sunlight. Removing the bucket allows the grass to regain its green color as it receives sunlight again.

A Review: Integrating SUGAR simulating tool and MEMS sensorIJERA Editor
Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) are forming the basis for a rapidly growing industry and fields of
research, many MEMS designers still rely on calculations due to a lack of efficient computer-aided design
(CAD) tools that can assist with the initial stages of design exploration. This paper review about the techniques
to the design of MEMS and sugar simulating tool. SUGAR simulating tool utilizes past successful MEMS
designs and sub-assemblies as building blocks stored in an indexed library, allowing reuse and modification of
previous successful designs to help deal with the complexities of a new design tool. Reasoning tools find cases
in the library with solved problems similar to the current design problem in order to propose promising
conceptual designs. The paper recommends strategies for integrating the MEMS Design with evolutionary
computation of SST

o Crystalline structure : XRDA (X-Ray Diffraction Analysis) and Raman Spectroscopy Analysis
o Surface morphology: SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy)Analysis
o Elemental composition: EDS (Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy)
o Elastic modulus and hardness: Nano Indentation
o Thickness: Optical surface profilometer
Key Responsibilities:
Using lab equipment’s Vacuum chamber, laser (Nd3+: YAG LASER) independently for the fabrication.
Interactions with lab assistants to Handle the equipment’s for XRD, SEM, EDS, Nano indentation, Optical
Surface profilometer and operates them according to the project requirement.

ACADEMIC PROJECT
Wireless RFID technology based mapping and localization of people movements. May ‘08–‘09
A microcontroller based parent transceiver is designed that communicates with its child transceivers. The child
transceiver sends its current location when requested by parent.
PIC controller is programmed using keil software, RFID transceiver is used for the project.
A small crowd is done in college premises.
