Veggie Alarm is a conceptual design that uses mobile technology to encourage college students to develop the habit of eating vegetables every day. It works by having users set a repeating alarm on their phone for 30 minutes after they usually get home from class or lab. When the alarm goes off, they are reminded to eat the raw vegetable they previously selected and have on hand, like baby carrots. The design is meant to be simple, fitting into users' schedules by triggering in the evening when vegetables are available. It will be tested by recruiting friends to participate for five days and collecting survey feedback.
