Vincent Van Gogh was a famous post-Impressionist painter who was born in 1853 and died in 1890 at the age of 37. He painted over 800 oil paintings in his short lifetime, selling only one during his life. Some of his most famous works include Starry Night, Sunflowers, and Irises, in which he used distinctive brush strokes and a limited color palette in each painting. Though he rarely painted children, his works often depicted nature, still lifes, and landscapes, using expressive colors and textures.
