Glendale
■ Why?
■ Technological boom
■ Potential for revenue and economic success.
■ Part of the “trend”
■ Commercialized Society.
■ Technological revolution
■ Powerful potential in particular for the city of Glendale.

What can we do?
■ Our objective is to attract companies to expand in Glendale.
■ Why?(stated earlier)
■ Our proposal it to establish a set of independent record label
companies to improve the chances of garnering the attention of
the entertainment industry.
■ Popular and entertainment influences such as the Glendale
Galleria and the Americana have already proven to be a
magnet for many visitors and shoppers.

Proposal
■ Opening independent entertainment/record labels around the city of Glendale will
bring a multitude of opportunity for the expansion of the entertainment industry in
Glendale.
■ Many artists are willing to pay money out of their own pocket for studio for studio
time and plenty of people are aspiring label owners so receiving income to
manage the facilities should not be too difficult, initial funding would be gained by
finding independent artists and aspiring label owners willing to invest.
■ Burbank is one of the leading contributers to hollywood, it has an abundance of
studios which is why it has so many links to the entertainment industry, if we can
bring an abundance of studios to Glendale then Burbank will have some
competition.
■ It would also be important to bring people from social media into such labels such
as famous people from instagram or vine as hiring such people isn’t economically
heavy and the people are already well known by many.

Effects
■ Having an established studio industry in Glendale will not only
catch the attention of well established artists that are looking to
sign a new deal but it will also attract many up and coming
artists that could possibly be the next big thing.
■ This will allow for Glendale to make a more prestiguous name
for it self by being a contributing factor of the booming
entertainment industry of hollywood.

■ Because this is a repeatable process, this can be very flexible
and viable. This is because of the spontaneity of the
music/entertainment industry.
■ It will bring several companies here as they attract more and
more people in the local record labels.
■ Doing this will allow people to get attracted into the music
industry.

Potential problems
■ A potential problem is struggling to receive initial funding
however there is an abundance of aspiring musicians and
actors in California so that issue would not be as difficult to
navigate as it would be in other states.
■ Another problem could involve with potential competition such
as Burbank which could cause loss in income and inevitably,
look less attractive for companies to expand.,
