5. Lack of Education
State lacks the proper infrastructure and resources required for
schools and institutions
The literacy rate of the state according to the 2011 Census is
70%, which is below the national average of 74%. While the
literacy rate for men is at 79%, it is 59% for women.
Education in rural areas is so depressing,thus creating a gap in
between rural and urban kids.
Government primary schools maintenance is worst.Children fail
to reach for higher education
Education is now more commercial.In big institutions the gap
between rural and urban child can be seen.
Lack of sincerity by teachers is again a issue.
Government schemes like mid-day meal to attract children is
failing.
7. Disappointing Agriculture
Agriculture being the main source of state’s economy is
losing Government’s attention.
Farmers are not favored by Government policies
Lack of education amongst farmers is harming agriculture
Increase of Mafias are resulting in grain hoarding and loss
of it
Proper technology implementation is not done.Agriculture
is still based on old methods
People are turning to cities for more lavish and rich
life.Agriculture is ignored a lot.

Lack of proper infrastructure and facilities for proper
treatment
Government hospitals are most ill maintained and often
comes with a huge queue of patients
Qualified doctors are migrating to more commercial
hospitals
Rural people are main targets of ill state.
Improper nutrition and nourishment results in starvation
and bad health
Lack of knowledge amongst common masses regarding
health
11. Liquid State
Improper Government policies to regulate river water.
Clean drinking water is not available in villages and cities
as well
Industrial and other pollutants are making river water unfit
for use
Improper planning to harvest rain water is making it bitter
to raise water level
Proper infrastructure and facilities for water transportation
is lacking.
People’s ignorance towards this issue is also a cause
Proper flood management is not done

Anything can be done with full determination and
proper planning
Government should be more concerned about the
upbringing of the state
Basic facilities and infrastructure should be a priority
Policies favoring agriculture should be implemented
alongwith industrial development
More active and strategic people should come forward
and help the state

Models like WAT-SAN Bahraich Model are effective in
dealing with flood and related issues.
Gorakhpur Environmental Action Group has come up
with a model to make agriculture and water mor
sustainable.
Various qualified youths are moving towards villages to
impart good health and knowledge
Gates Foundation is also contributing a lot in state’s
development
People are now becoming more aware
