Edge IoT is a technology Witekio believes in. It is now reaching an inflexion point. The need for responsiveness, local computing capacity (especially for data crunching, AI and machine learning), security, IoT bandwidth makes this«trend » relevant to face B2B and industrial challenges.
This is a (public) presentation given by Sun MIcrosystems CTO Greg Papadopoulos at the Gartner Symposium in Orlando in 2004. As of a decade later (January, 2014), this presentation is remarkable for its prescience -- IP is indeed the backplane and the internet has in fact become the computer.
submitted to IBM-execs as Open Innovation jam-topic. Following presentation to Oregon EconDevCouncil (OEDC). Resulted in OpenTEch incubator to leverage the OpenSourceDevLab (OSDL) setup around Linus Torvald and "the kernel" to bring industrial-strength development to forge "carrier-grade" linux... &more :-)
Web application security and why you should review yours, is a whole stack look skydive without a parachute, let's try not to die as we explore what is an attack surface, Arcronym hell, Vulnerability naming, Detection or provention is there a place for both or none, emerging oss technologies which can help you, a firehose review of compromises 2014 through 2018, and finally a live compromise demo covering everything we've discussed as being 'bad' ... or as often happens the backup video.
Artificial Intelligence in practice - Gerbert Kaandorp - Codemotion Amsterdam...Codemotion
In this talk Gerbert will give an overview of Artificial Intelligence, outline the current state of the art in research and explain what it takes to actually do an AI project. Using practical cases and tools he will give you insight in the phases of an AI project and explain some of the problems you might encounter along the way and how you might be able to solve them.

Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.
