The Darfur Low-Smoke Stoves Project aims to combat the dependency on solid fuels by introducing clean LPG stoves, addressing issues such as deforestation and indoor air pollution while promoting women’s involvement in household cooking. The initiative, funded through carbon credits and supported by local NGOs and community management, has distributed 7,500 stoves, avoiding over 75,000 tons of CO2 emissions and improving energy accessibility. Continuous monitoring and financial strategies are implemented to ensure sustainability and enhance the impacts of the program.
