1. Use of Present Continuous (Progressive)
1. Things that are happening right now
He is eating his lunch right now.
We are learning about the present continuous at the moment.
2. When things are not happening at the exact moment but
happening at that moment in your life. It was not true at an
earlier point in time.
I am dating a new girl.
He is working in the new office.
3. When we want to compare regular activities (with the present
simple) and something that is different:
We always eat there… …but today we are having lunch
here.
I pay my rent monthly. …but I am paying 2 month’s rent
this month.
