USC School Of Cinematic Arts (SCA) Graduate Study
There are three reasons that I am interested in the USC School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) Graduate Program. Firstly, the Film & Television Production
MFA program at USC is one of the greatest graduation program providing its graduates with the best equipment, best professors, and best networking
opportunities. Studying at SCA, students could work with faculty who are famous actors, producers, directors, media makers, and scholars whose
careers and work have awarded the highest honors of their field: Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, NAACP Leadership Awards, etc. Moreover, there
are many attractive courses in the program. Students at SCA can take a wide range of courses in this program. They have the opportunity to write,
direct, produce, and edit

Clemson And USC: A Case Study
Decisions In life, with the inevitability of time and aging, comes the process of maturing and moving forward on a path into the future. The most
immediate and foreseeable destination along this route to maturation is college. Despite the obviousness in continuing education at a college, the
"right" or most compatible college is often hidden among the numerous choices that are offered. Out of the multitude of available colleges and
universities, the University of South Carolina and Clemson University provides a range of choices and options for large public universities with
renowned football teams. Clemson is a large public college in rural South Carolina, with a robust military heritage, a reputation of having more rigorous
entry requirements,...show more content...
It is inevitable that sacrifices will have to be made when choosing schooling, but for some, only nonessential sacrifices; the quality and content of the
academic program cannot and should not be sacrificed for a change in location. However, financial needs are also important to consider and may
unfortunately be an overriding factor. Taking into account all of the criteria previously described, many believe that the best school of the two is
Clemson University. Although not as fulfilling in the extracurricular aspects, it has an extremely extensive and reputable engineering program whose
costs will not be excessive. In addition, its proximity to mountains is convenient, and the nearby coastline is appealing as well. However, in light of
the extremely selective process that each applicant undergoes before being accepted, it is realistic to say that there is a fair chance that most students
who apply may not be accepted. In this case, another great choice would be the University of South Carolina. Although not exactly on par with the
engineering program at Clemson, it is relatively strong. In addition, the full cost will most likely be alleviated with state scholarships. Although these
colleges seem like the correct choice for now, it is inevitable that students preferences may change and with it their choices in colleges. However, with
experience in researching and deciding

Ga's Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for University of Southern California are rigorous, fastidious, and highly competitive. The admission process takes into
a consideration of factors. In addition, only 18.02% of student applications are accepted out of 51920 each school year. Surprisingly USC doesn't have
a preferred GPA range for their applicants but, their average GPA is 3.8 (Naviance). Many students who applied to USC were in the top 10% or at least
top 20% of their high school class. Thus, concerning SAT scores, the lowest combined score was a 1910 with the highest being a 2225, and lowest
combined score for the ACT was a 29 with the highest being 33 (Naviance). Among other things, an essay is required to be admitted, something that
can be taken very serious because it can make or break if you are accepted or not (USC). Along with doing essays, you also need letter of
recommendations, its best to get them from...show more content...
TCU offers 200 organizations and clubs. You can join theatre, a jazz band, or political activism if you wanted. Also there are 14 Fraternities and
16 sororities are included. Even if you'd like to be in the military TCU has a ROTC program for the army and Air force. The military will pay for
your education so, that could be great for anyone. Not only but also, many students loved to attend TCU's football games, so if you love football it
would be great to attend. The campus offers student employment, internships with and without pay, and academic counseling (Naviance). Campus
employment is offered to you if you don't feel like getting a job off campus, it comes in handy. Also dorm life can be your focus too. Typical room
charge for a full year can be up to $6,900 and for board it can be $4,480. As well as room and board tuition is $38,510 and a flat fee of $90 (Naviance).
Texas Christian University can be a great college to attend like University of Southern

My Observation At USC
Few colleges I have found to offer, what I consider, the ideal combination of strong academics and a healthy social atmosphere. At USC, there is a
perfect harmony of work and outlets for fun. Nestled in Los Angeles, the epitome of inspiration and opportunity, USC success with the laid–back
California vibe that appeals to me.
With a plethora of different major choices, USC provides me with tools to pursue its renowned Public Health department while also having a backup
plan. USC has affiliations with John Snow Inc., a company I can envision myself working for someday. Another potential direction for me is Business
Management with a focus in International Affairs. That program also consists of useful resources like CIBER and the Center for Global

USC Rossier Education Career Analysis
As a student at the University of Southern California (USC) Rossier, my contribution to the professional and academic community is to increase
critical thinking, develop knowledge and build curiosity and questions among my peers in an impactful manner. I can refine my skills as I perform
in a challenging field that I am enthusiastic about. The USC Rossier educational program will guide me towards a fulfilling career that is enticing to
my goal of providing a service that improves society and build upon other skills and abilities to create creative and innovative ideas in the field of
education.
I believe in the importance of education and the influence an educator has through effective teaching. I would like to use my learning experience and

The Importance Of Applying To USC
Please understand that I meant ever word of my personal statement. I am no longer the same person who received those horribly low GPA's. I have
completely changed my attitude towards education, so I don't want the admissions committee to feel that granting me admission is equivalent to
wasting a spot for someone else. I am completely serious and focused on education; I do not and will not intend to join any fraternities through college.
I will only be at USC to study.
The only reason I am applying to USC is because of the immense opportunities USC can provide me in furthering my academic career. If I have the
good fortune of earning a diploma from USC, I have every intention to continue my education at USC through the Keck School of Medicine.

Theatre School Admission Essay Sample
Theatre has always been my passion. Nobody told me to pursue theatre, it was a choice that I made my freshman year. I knew I had a fondness for
singing, so I figured theatre would be a good opportunity for me to participate at a new school. After being one of two Freshmen chosen to be in
the musical, I knew I had something special. I continued pursuing performing, and I became infatuated with getting up on stage and performing for
crowds. I plan on pursuing a BFA in Theatre Performance to further educate myself and to give hope to young girls and boys who are told they
won't make it doing what they love. This is my main goal, and I would also be able to give people this hope by teaching children! So I am going to
double major in theatre performance while also pursuing an MST in...show more content...
It took me such a long time to understand my worth, and now I know that I am capable of anything. I do not need anyone to tell me who I am,
what I am supposed to be, or how I should present myself. I was told my entire life, exactly who I was supposed to be. I never once thought of who I
wanted to be. I was so concerned with how others saw me, that I didn't care about myself. After my first year of high school, I realized I'd had enough. I
became a strong woman. I was no longer a little girl trying to please the world. I am now one of the toughest people I know. I fight for myself and
for the people I love. I know what I am worthy of, and who I am. I'm a woman who has been to hell and back, looked demons in the face, and said
to them, "No, you don't own me". I deserve this scholarship because I have fought my entire life, through my father's death, physical and sexual
abuse, mental disorder and all. I have fought to make something of myself, and I refuse to give up and let everyone who told me I would be nothing
laugh at me. Instead, I will prove them wrong. This will inspire young people to go on, and do what they love, no matter the

Statement Of Purpose: USC
At USC, I plan to either pursue my first choice subject, Sociology, or my second choice, Psychology. While majoring in either one of these subjects, I
would like to take classes in order to explore other areas of study and to learn as much as possible. I am interested in a lot of things and I see college as
a time in which I can explore my interests. To me, USC is the perfect place for me to do that due to the smaller class sizes and the one–on–one
counseling provided at the university. I have gone to a small school all my life and although I liked it, I'm looking for a larger school at which to attend
university. However, the small class environment and close student teacher relationship is something that would be beneficial to mycollege

Summer Program Application Essay
The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique
opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able
to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted
into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for
the real world as a careered woman. I have not yet solidified what I would like to be in the future, but as of this moment, I hope to possibly become

I have always loved looking and participating in art classes, although I am not the best artist, and I enjoy learning about the history behind different
art techniques. But I think that international relations would be something that is absolutely amazing to learn about because through this I could
learn about the connections and effects that occur between so many different nations, and learn about how they interact with one another. I feel like
I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous
summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards
others. I am very adaptive to my surroundings even if that means changing topics within a classroom discussion. Something else about me is that I am
what is known as an ambivert. This means that I sit in the scale between being and introvert and an extrovert. Although iI do tend to sway more
towards the introverted side, but only for the reason that I can get lost in my own thoughts or go for hours without taking a break from a book that I am

Evaluation Of The Usc Ets Program Essay
Intervention In an effort to address the needs of the large numbers of low income and potential first–generation college students at the target school, the
USC ETS project will focus on the delivery of consistent and grade level appropriate college and financial aid information to all participants. The
extent to which the target secondary schools does not offer their students the courses or academic support they need to complete a rigorous secondary
school program of study. They also have a low participation by low–income or first–generation students in such courses, which the USC ETS project
can change. The major function of the USC ETS program is to provide academic counseling and planning. Student workers will review each student's
educational progress and career plans. Student workers will also insure placement into appropriate courses, foster career development, as well as
increase student participation in the SAT and ACT exams. This will insure student will be eligible forcollege admission upon graduation. The student
workers and academic advisors will also provide post–secondary planning workshops that will help facilitate the preparation and processing of college,
scholarships, financial aid or any other vocational program the student wishes to attend after high school. The USC ETS program will also offer
assistance for high school students who are struggling academically by providing tutoring services. Lastly, student workers and academic advisors will

As I took the LASSI, I was comparing my educational experience at UCSB and currently at USC. I know that if I would have taken the LASSI
while being an undergrad at UCSB plenty of those percentages would be on the lower end. There are various reasons for this; all revolving around my
experience being a first–generation college student. When I first started UCSB, I met my first friends who were from a different culture and race.
Prior to UCSB, my only knowledge about Asian and white people came from the media and my friends' experiences. Moreover, much of my
knowledge was negative and when I went to UCSB I unconsciously chose to hang out with those who looked like me. Nevertheless, I quickly learned
that what I had seen and heard prior to UCSB...show more content...
In those three years, I learned a lot about my goals and aspirations and knew I wanted to be at USC to study counseling. I was not surprised with
the LASSI results because everything I learned in my professional life, I applied it to my academic life at USC. On every category, except for two,
I scored over the 75 percentile. I got a 70% on Self Testing (SFT) and it indicated that I don't always practice this technique. As I learned from my
study habits at UCSB, I go back to reread the material but I don't generate questions to ask myself. Even though most of my assignments at USC
have been papers and group activities, I plan to utilize this technique more often when encountering exams. In addition, I plan to one day to either
pursue an Ed.D or PH.d and will need to retake the GRE, so this technique will be a perfect opportunity to do just that. I was not surprised by my
lowest score which is Using Academic Resources (UAR) at 15%. As previously mentioned, I came from ahigh school that was predominantly Latino
and had very few postsecondary assistance programs. As a result, I navigated the college admission process and this led me to also navigate UCSB
without any support. At the time, I felt I could do it all by myself as I had in high school. There were only some instances that I can count with my
fingers where I went to seek out guidance from on campus programs. However, I now realize that I should increase the usage

USC: A Career In The Music Career
USC became a big interest to me because it offers a unique variety of majors within the music department. As a singer, I love performing but I would
love to work within the industry and start up my own record label. The idea of having my own business and managing artists makes me excited.
Looking forward into my future, I always think about the endless possibilities that I'll be able to acquire thanks to USC. Los Angeles has such a
massive influence in music and its located in the heart of the industry, so I'll be educated in a place where I can also obtain local internships and
work on projects of my own with other musicians. USC is not only my dream school, but also the place where I want to begin my career.

USC Alumni: A Case Study
I have dreamed about being a part of the Trojan family for a long time. I have heard that support from USC alumni is unrivaled in its strength and
quality. I grew up just outside of Los Angeles county and from a young age, I viewed USC as LA's greatest school. I saw the school as a source of
pride for the people of Southern California. In high school when I was applying for college, I discovered more about the high quality programs that
USC offers and I imagined myself in cardinal and gold. After much consideration, I turned down my offer to attend USC for undergrad and began my
journey at UCI. Now I have a second chance and I feel that it is finally time to realize my childhood dream. Southern California is my home and the

USC Strengths And Weaknesses
Third, beside the unsafe neighborhoods of USC, the incovenient location and imperfect transportations are also the weaknesses of USC. For
instance, there are few transportations around USC. In the data maps of the public transportations, it shows that the number of public transportations
around USC is only 20 which is lower than the 51 public transportations around UCLA. Beside, according to Steven's experience, the USC school
buses are always delayed or even suddenly cancelled. Therefore, USC students without private cars feel depressed sometime. In fact, the issue of
transportation, as one of the USC weaknesses, becomes more obvious because of the policy of dormitory of USC, as steven said. According to the
policy of dormitory of USC, the dormitories of USC are only...show more content...
Similarly, the students owning private cars and living far away from campus also feel distressed as they have to compete with each other for the
parking permit. The location and imperfect transportation not only cause the inconvenience, but also cause the weak academic atmosphere in
campus. According to steven's experience, if a day is rainy day or the highway has traffic jam, only a few students will attend class. Without enough
students attending class, the class would not be "successful". It means that high density of students is needed to share their own ideas and foster the
ideas or concepts given by professors as if the Jacob's idea about a high density of people is needed to foster intermingling and the idea of community
for a successful urban. Without a high density of people, a successful urban cannot be formed, as the article The Death and Life of Great American
Cities describes "tremendous numbers of people concentrate in city downtowns and that, if they did not, there would be no downtown to amount to
anything. (p,

USC Summer Program Personal Statement
USC's atmosphere has always caught my attention because it's full of hard work and fun times, which is why it's at the top of my list for schools and
it would be remarkable if I could be there other than for field trips.
Since my 8th grade year I have been fascinated by USC, and because of this, I take any and every opportunity I can get to visit the campus and
learn more about its culture and values. Having the chance to learn from USC's professors, and take a class that I'm passionate about would be an
experience I would never forget. Not only is this a unique opportunity, but attending the Summer Program would also allow me to start becoming a

So far I have taken a one year Intro to Computer Science course that was administered by my High School, and I will be participating in the Athena
Hacks event that USC is hosting this April. I'm very passionate about going into STEM careers, not only because of the gender gap present but also
because I want to be a part of the technological advancements in the future that will help thousands of people. This program would also help me
prepare for college by exposing me to the workload I would face, and help me become more independent, which is a key life skill everyone needs to
obtain.
From this program, I hope to gain more knowledge and experience about working with computers and the chance to network with several people that
have the same interests as I do. I always remain optimistic in troubling times and can see situations from multiple perspectives, which will come in
handy if any group projects are administered. In addition, I'm naturally very helpful to others which will not only improve their experiences in this
program, but it would also enhance my people skills.

Personal Narrative: My Experience At USC
Although I was elated by my successful perseverance, there was no doubt that I was entering USC with a chip on my shoulder. However, despite the
consistent dedication that my business undergraduate studies have thus far required, what I have perhaps most gleaned from my time at USC is a
strong sense of community. Coming from a high school with an unsurprisingly dry school spirit, I was very eager and excited for the sense of pride
that comes with being part of the Trojan Family. Not surprisingly, an immediate tradition of attending football games together was created with friends
from the Southside freshman dorms–a tradition that to date has not been broken. The friendships I have created with these friends have continuously

plan on meeting and forming a new family filmmakers at USC to grow with. Along with meeting new collaborators, I also have multiple friends that
live in the Los Angeles area that are in the film and music industry. I plan on working with them as well and combining the two communities of
friends. I am certainly going to push myself to leave my comfort zone right away and not hold back. I am a strong believer in the idea that being in

Pursuing My Interest In USC Research
Attending university in USC studying computer science has been a dream of mine. USC provides facilities that no other universities could provide.
For instance, Viterbi (USC department) is regarded as one of the leading research and development of advanced information processing. My
enthusiasm in computer science was geared towards data processing and cyber security, which is the more reason to pursue my academic interest at
USC. The research at USC is phenomenal and is one of the main reason I chose to come to USC. My mother was an alumni of USC and she said that
the professors at USC are more than willing to work with undergraduates and getting them involved with the research. The involvement and breadth of
research in USC has pique my interest even further to pursue computer science in USC. I plan to partaking in one of the research of my academic

USC Fall Admission Request Letter Essay
USC Fall Admission Request Letter " 'Change the conversation' about engineering, " as the dean's message states, "we are helping dismantle
stereotypes about engineers – what they do, who they are, what they look like." I was deeply touched by these encouraging words when I first read it
on the Viterbi School of Engineering website. As a woman in science and engineering who have been through many stereotypes towards women, my
belief is consistent with dean's message: "this must change." I'm so happy and glad to have acceptance from a school that respects diversity and
minority. I am writing this letter to express my sincere gratitude for the precious opportunity offered by USC School of Engineering. Thank you for

My dream is to contribute my power in this innovation as a female engineer. Even though women are put on the sidelines in some societies, I have
never considered myself and other women as such. I have determined my mind to pursue my dreams since the first day I decided to study in science
and engineering. Problems brought by stereotypes towards women happened many times in my life, but I never let them stop me pursuing my
dreams. In my home country China, back to my first year in high school, I was laughed at by my teachers and classmates when I first told them I
wanted to major in mathematics. My high school math teacher kept ignoring me when I had the top one math score in his class, for the reason that
"women are not supposed to do better in science than men in this society." I experienced desperation, but I turned it to my motivation. I spent six
months to study all high school courses by myself and skipped two year high school and went to a university in US to study mathematics. The
undergraduate study has made me realize I can be more powerful to contribute myself as a female scientist. I believe studying at a university like USC
will maximize my value and growth along with the school's

USC School Of Cinematic Arts (SCA) Graduate Study

  • 1. USC School Of Cinematic Arts (SCA) Graduate Study There are three reasons that I am interested in the USC School of Cinematic Arts (SCA) Graduate Program. Firstly, the Film & Television Production MFA program at USC is one of the greatest graduation program providing its graduates with the best equipment, best professors, and best networking opportunities. Studying at SCA, students could work with faculty who are famous actors, producers, directors, media makers, and scholars whose careers and work have awarded the highest honors of their field: Oscars, Emmys, Golden Globes, NAACP Leadership Awards, etc. Moreover, there are many attractive courses in the program. Students at SCA can take a wide range of courses in this program. They have the opportunity to write, direct, produce, and edit Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Clemson And USC: A Case Study Decisions In life, with the inevitability of time and aging, comes the process of maturing and moving forward on a path into the future. The most immediate and foreseeable destination along this route to maturation is college. Despite the obviousness in continuing education at a college, the "right" or most compatible college is often hidden among the numerous choices that are offered. Out of the multitude of available colleges and universities, the University of South Carolina and Clemson University provides a range of choices and options for large public universities with renowned football teams. Clemson is a large public college in rural South Carolina, with a robust military heritage, a reputation of having more rigorous entry requirements,...show more content... It is inevitable that sacrifices will have to be made when choosing schooling, but for some, only nonessential sacrifices; the quality and content of the academic program cannot and should not be sacrificed for a change in location. However, financial needs are also important to consider and may unfortunately be an overriding factor. Taking into account all of the criteria previously described, many believe that the best school of the two is Clemson University. Although not as fulfilling in the extracurricular aspects, it has an extremely extensive and reputable engineering program whose costs will not be excessive. In addition, its proximity to mountains is convenient, and the nearby coastline is appealing as well. However, in light of the extremely selective process that each applicant undergoes before being accepted, it is realistic to say that there is a fair chance that most students who apply may not be accepted. In this case, another great choice would be the University of South Carolina. Although not exactly on par with the engineering program at Clemson, it is relatively strong. In addition, the full cost will most likely be alleviated with state scholarships. Although these colleges seem like the correct choice for now, it is inevitable that students preferences may change and with it their choices in colleges. However, with experience in researching and deciding Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Ga's Admission Requirements The admission requirements for University of Southern California are rigorous, fastidious, and highly competitive. The admission process takes into a consideration of factors. In addition, only 18.02% of student applications are accepted out of 51920 each school year. Surprisingly USC doesn't have a preferred GPA range for their applicants but, their average GPA is 3.8 (Naviance). Many students who applied to USC were in the top 10% or at least top 20% of their high school class. Thus, concerning SAT scores, the lowest combined score was a 1910 with the highest being a 2225, and lowest combined score for the ACT was a 29 with the highest being 33 (Naviance). Among other things, an essay is required to be admitted, something that can be taken very serious because it can make or break if you are accepted or not (USC). At USC, there is a perfect harmony of work and outlets for fun. Nestled in Los Angeles, the epitome of inspiration and opportunity, USC success with the laid–back California vibe that appeals to me. With a plethora of different major choices, USC provides me with tools to pursue its renowned Public Health department while also having a backup plan. • 6. The Importance Of Applying To USC Please understand that I meant ever word of my personal statement. I am no longer the same person who received those horribly low GPA's. I have completely changed my attitude towards education, so I don't want the admissions committee to feel that granting me admission is equivalent to wasting a spot for someone else. I am completely serious and focused on education; I do not and will not intend to join any fraternities through college. I will only be at USC to study. The only reason I am applying to USC is because of the immense opportunities USC can provide me in furthering my academic career. If I have the good fortune of earning a diploma from USC, I have every intention to continue my education at USC through the Keck School of Medicine. Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Theatre School Admission Essay Sample Theatre has always been my passion. Nobody told me to pursue theatre, it was a choice that I made my freshman year. I knew I had a fondness for singing, so I figured theatre would be a good opportunity for me to participate at a new school. After being one of two Freshmen chosen to be in the musical, I knew I had something special. I continued pursuing performing, and I became infatuated with getting up on stage and performing for crowds. I plan on pursuing a BFA in Theatre Performance to further educate myself and to give hope to young girls and boys who are told they won't make it doing what they love. After my first year of high school, I realized I'd had enough. I became a strong woman. I was no longer a little girl trying to please the world. I am now one of the toughest people I know. I fight for myself and for the people I love. I know what I am worthy of, and who I am. I'm a woman who has been to hell and back, looked demons in the face, and said to them, "No, you don't own me". I deserve this scholarship because I have fought my entire life, through my father's death, physical and sexual abuse, mental disorder and all. While majoring in either one of these subjects, I would like to take classes in order to explore other areas of study and to learn as much as possible. I am interested in a lot of things and I see college as a time in which I can explore my interests. To me, USC is the perfect place for me to do that due to the smaller class sizes and the one–on–one counseling provided at the university. I have gone to a small school all my life and although I liked it, I'm looking for a larger school at which to attend university. Programs such as these gives the unique opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for the real world as a careered woman. I feel like I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards others. I am very adaptive to my surroundings even if that means changing topics within a classroom discussion. Something else about me is that I am what is known as an ambivert. This means that I sit in the scale between being and introvert and an extrovert. • 11. As I took the LASSI, I was comparing my educational experience at UCSB and currently at USC. I know that if I would have taken the LASSI while being an undergrad at UCSB plenty of those percentages would be on the lower end. There are various reasons for this; all revolving around my experience being a first–generation college student. When I first started UCSB, I met my first friends who were from a different culture and race. Prior to UCSB, my only knowledge about Asian and white people came from the media and my friends' experiences. Moreover, much of my knowledge was negative and when I went to UCSB I unconsciously chose to hang out with those who looked like me. Nevertheless, I quickly learned that what I had seen and heard prior to UCSB...show more content... In those three years, I learned a lot about my goals and aspirations and knew I wanted to be at USC to study counseling. I was not surprised with the LASSI results because everything I learned in my professional life, I applied it to my academic life at USC. On every category, except for two, I scored over the 75 percentile. I got a 70% on Self Testing (SFT) and it indicated that I don't always practice this technique. As I learned from my study habits at UCSB, I go back to reread the material but I don't generate questions to ask myself. Even though most of my assignments at USC have been papers and group activities, I plan to utilize this technique more often when encountering exams. In addition, I plan to one day to either pursue an Ed.D or PH.d and will need to retake the GRE, so this technique will be a perfect opportunity to do just that. I was not surprised by my lowest score which is Using Academic Resources (UAR) at 15%. As previously mentioned, I came from ahigh school that was predominantly Latino and had very few postsecondary assistance programs. As a result, I navigated the college admission process and this led me to also navigate UCSB without any support. At the time, I felt I could do it all by myself as I had in high school. There were only some instances that I can count with my fingers where I went to seek out guidance from on campus programs. However, I now realize that I should increase the usage Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. USC: A Career In The Music Career USC became a big interest to me because it offers a unique variety of majors within the music department. As a singer, I love performing but I would love to work within the industry and start up my own record label. The idea of having my own business and managing artists makes me excited. Looking forward into my future, I always think about the endless possibilities that I'll be able to acquire thanks to USC. Los Angeles has such a massive influence in music and its located in the heart of the industry, so I'll be educated in a place where I can also obtain local internships and work on projects of my own with other musicians. I grew up just outside of Los Angeles county and from a young age, I viewed USC as LA's greatest school. I saw the school as a source of pride for the people of Southern California. In high school when I was applying for college, I discovered more about the high quality programs that USC offers and I imagined myself in cardinal and gold. • 14. USC Strengths And Weaknesses Third, beside the unsafe neighborhoods of USC, the incovenient location and imperfect transportations are also the weaknesses of USC. For instance, there are few transportations around USC. In the data maps of the public transportations, it shows that the number of public transportations around USC is only 20 which is lower than the 51 public transportations around UCLA. Beside, according to Steven's experience, the USC school buses are always delayed or even suddenly cancelled. Therefore, USC students without private cars feel depressed sometime. In fact, the issue of transportation, as one of the USC weaknesses, becomes more obvious because of the policy of dormitory of USC, as steven said. Similarly, the students owning private cars and living far away from campus also feel distressed as they have to compete with each other for the parking permit. The location and imperfect transportation not only cause the inconvenience, but also cause the weak academic atmosphere in campus. According to steven's experience, if a day is rainy day or the highway has traffic jam, only a few students will attend class. Without enough students attending class, the class would not be "successful". It means that high density of students is needed to share their own ideas and foster the ideas or concepts given by professors as if the Jacob's idea about a high density of people is needed to foster intermingling and the idea of community for a successful urban. Without a high density of people, a successful urban cannot be formed, as the article The Death and Life of Great American Cities describes "tremendous numbers of people concentrate in city downtowns and that, if they did not, there would be no downtown to amount to anything. USC Summer Program Personal Statement USC's atmosphere has always caught my attention because it's full of hard work and fun times, which is why it's at the top of my list for schools and it would be remarkable if I could be there other than for field trips. Since my 8th grade year I have been fascinated by USC, and because of this, I take any and every opportunity I can get to visit the campus and learn more about its culture and values. Having the chance to learn from USC's professors, and take a class that I'm passionate about would be an experience I would never forget. This program would also help me prepare for college by exposing me to the workload I would face, and help me become more independent, which is a key life skill everyone needs to obtain. From this program, I hope to gain more knowledge and experience about working with computers and the chance to network with several people that have the same interests as I do. I always remain optimistic in troubling times and can see situations from multiple perspectives, which will come in handy if any group projects are administered. In addition, I'm naturally very helpful to others which will not only improve their experiences in this program, but it would also enhance my people skills. However, despite the consistent dedication that my business undergraduate studies have thus far required, what I have perhaps most gleaned from my time at USC is a strong sense of community. Coming from a high school with an unsurprisingly dry school spirit, I was very eager and excited for the sense of pride that comes with being part of the Trojan Family. Not surprisingly, an immediate tradition of attending football games together was created with friends from the Southside freshman dorms–a tradition that to date has not been broken. They are like my family and I plan on meeting and forming a new family filmmakers at USC to grow with. Along with meeting new collaborators, I also have multiple friends that live in the Los Angeles area that are in the film and music industry. As a woman in science and engineering who have been through many stereotypes towards women, my belief is consistent with dean's message: "this must change." My dream is to contribute my power in this innovation as a female engineer. Even though women are put on the sidelines in some societies, I have never considered myself and other women as such. I have determined my mind to pursue my dreams since the first day I decided to study in science and engineering. Problems brought by stereotypes towards women happened many times in my life, but I never let them stop me pursuing my dreams. In my home country China, back to my first year in high school, I was laughed at by my teachers and classmates when I first told them I wanted to major in mathematics. My high school math teacher kept ignoring me when I had the top one math score in his class, for the reason that "women are not supposed to do better in science than men in this society." I experienced desperation, but I turned it to my motivation. I spent six months to study all high school courses by myself and skipped two year high school and went to a university in US to study mathematics. The undergraduate study has made me realize I can be more powerful to contribute myself as a female scientist. I believe studying at a university like USC will maximize my value and growth along with the school's Get more content on HelpWriting.net
