The usability test uncovered several areas for improvement across different sections of the app. For creating a user profile, testers suggested adding features like linking accounts, a "people to follow" menu, and reorganizing some screens. Navigation icons needed clarification through text labels or unique colors. Creating goals required more guidance through icons and preset options. Updating goals lacked clarity around sharing and achievements did not emphasize "baby steps". Testers' ratings indicated the need for simplified, more intuitive flows throughout the app.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.

Logo and Branding: The Likely Logo and the color scheme was appealing to users. For the most part, users
perceived the Likely Introduction screen to be simple and intuitive.
Create a user profile: “Make sure that colors are coordinated with brand in menus” was the major feedback.
Also, the search icon smaller and more profound. Emphasize the field a bit more. Cancel and Next at the bottom.
Basic info fine. Make the icons circular for the take photos screen. The “current goals” screen might be too much.
Additional info should be left after the screen.
Navigation Icons: Positive outlook on the logo. Make the navigation icons have unique colors. Agrees with the
current order of the tabs.
Creating a Goal: Jerry couldn’t determine what was the create a goal button on first glance. Requested more
additional menus or pop ups when each button is clicked. Slider for “set achievement”. Create a new
achievement would be necessary.
Updating a Goal: Knew which button to press when a goal has been completed. Was confused by the progress
and plus minus buttons, should be clarified, too much time to figure out and should be streamlined. Agrees that
an achievement screen is necessary before sharing a goal. Believed that there should be follow up action, such
as invite people into the app.
P2
Logo and Branding: Likes the straightforwardness of the screen. Very straightforward.
Create a user profile: Starts the creation of the profile. The menus are plain, would like the Likely color screen.
Thought that there should be a “people to follow” menu. Believes that the Additional info menu is needed. Does
not know if user profile is over a course of a week. The picture is a bit too big on the user profile.
Navigation Icons: Likes that the icons are clean and big. Particularly liked the social feed. Wanted a search
function for the app.
Creating a Goal: Knew immediately when to press a goal. Needed clarification on the initial “create a goal”
menu. Needs clarification for the social menu. Confused by the set achievement screen. Need icons to help
create a goal.
Updating a Goal: The initial “updating screen” needs to be updated. Thinks achievements should be about baby
steps. Needs clarification, rated the process 8/10.
2.
P3
Create a user profile: P3 featured that there should be a “link an account” feature. Was able to get the “current
goals screen” which was designed for the user to judge how likely they are to complete a goal. Thought the
additional info screen can be added after the profile is created. Rated the profile creation screen a 7/10 in terms
of intuitiveness.
Navigation Icons: Buttons are self-explanatory and fairly standard, visually. Was able to explain the screens fairly
well. The tracking and creating achievements should be more apparent in the app. 8/10 in terms of intuitiveness.
Creating a Goal: The initial goal creating screen could be more detailed. Believes that some of the social settings
are redundant, and social features should have more order and be connected. Mentioned that the goals should
be preset and believes that if it automatically populates achievements related to that goal, it would give an 8/10.
Updating a Goal: Menza noticed the goal updated on the goal-tracking screen. Menza was not clear where to
create a share post. Believes that the achievement section makes sense during the “share the goal” process.
P4
Logo and Branding: Noticed the logo, and the simplicity of it. Also noticed how the Logo changes from grey to
green.
Create a user profile: After the “basic info screen”, Lamont believed that more options should be included for
basic info screen. Believes additional info is bio, hobbies, what a user likes to do. Lamont wanted an “aspirations
menu, and a “why” section. Also, “what additional steps needed to complete the goal” screen should be
present.
Navigation Icons: Lamont did not know what the icons meant, and suggested that the navigation icons should
have verbal descriptions of that. Believed the app overall should be more simple and intuitive, and rated the
overall intuitiveness by 4/10.
Creating a Goal: The “create a goal” screen is not in depth enough. I had to explain the “achievement” section
to P4, which signified that the section has to be clarified and redesigned. Lamont gave the “creating a goal”
feature flow a 3.5/10, because there are a lot of missing steps in regard to breaking down the goal, such as the
location of where the goal will be completed. Lamont believes the achievement feature needs to be redone.
Updating a Goal: Lamont was confused on how to get to the “share goal” functionality of the app. Believes the
functionality of the achievements page should be clarified in the app. Lamont believed that the sharing of the
post can be simplified. Lamont wanted a social feature where a user can tell people what goals that the user
wanted to complete, so that the user can garner feedback from the community. Rated the intuitiveness of the
“updating a goal” functionality a 7.5/10.
