OBJECTIVE Strong communities play a vital and protective role in human
development. As a newly accomplished MSW, my goal as a
professional is to address situations of distress and crisis by
shaping and repairing the client’s social environment which is
affected as a whole, and restore it to flourish and thrive. As a
social worker, by bridging the micro-macro divide, clients and
communities can overcome externally imposed social issues that
lead to emotional discourse and personal setbacks. My goal as an
MSW seeks to pursue relevant clinical and environmental
theoretical concepts and apply the appropriate modalities to
improve the client’s life, as well as, the client’s community.

Youth Advocacy Program (YAP)
Field Placement Internship. Understanding YAP strength-based, wraparound
model and effectively identify, and provide potential community network
connections, both formal and informal. Ultimately created alternative healthy
resource systems affording alternate options swaying away from
institutionalization and juvenile detention to essentially promote youth
development and goal achievement both domestically and internationally.

Field Placement/Internship
Worked on Policy Briefs, Strengthened Grant Writing Skills and became fluent
in SFP, WISE, Senior Jeopardy and Footprints for Life Community Programs.

surrounding marijuana decriminalization and legalization.

During my internship I advocated for HIV/AIDS patient rights towards
affordable and additional medication. I worked on several steering committees to
