A 112 bedded secondary hospital that provides medical and surgical services to patients and
familiesfromBaguio - Benguetandnearby provinces. Pines City Doctors Hospital envisions being
one of the leading tertiary health care providers and tertiary teaching hospitals in Baguio City and
its neighboring provinces. The medical surgical ward consists of 30 beds with nurse/patient ratio
of 1:8-10, we handle different kinds of clients condition like Cardiac Problems (CVA,CHF, TOF,
PDA,RIGHT SIDE HEART FAILURE, LEFT SIDE HEART FAILURE ) EENT cases such as
otitis media, eye problems such as glaucoma which can be as OPD basis. We also have patients
with Respiratory Problems (Pneumonia, PTB, pleural effusion, bronchial asthma,)
Infectious cases will automatically admitted to private rooms or semi-private rooms as hospital per
hospital protocol. PPE and infection control is highly practiced to prevent spread of infection and
minimize progression of problems.
Private rooms consist of 10-13 beds indicated for patient who wants to have a more comfortable
stay in the said hospital. It is also indicated for patients who need to be isolated from other
patients.

Works alongside the patient's physicians, other nurses and nursing assistants within the unit and
participates in monitoring and evaluation of effective and appropriate nursing strategies. My
responsibilities are:
 Consults and coordinates with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient
care plans.
 Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records on the appropriate forms.
 Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the
administration of medications.
 Educates patients on surgical procedures.
 Records patients’ medical information and vital signs.
 Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic
displays.
 Initiates corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse reactions.
 Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients
 Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician. Teaches patients and significant others how to
manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs
