The Art Institute of Chicago is hosting a special exhibit on the architecture of David Adjaye from September 19, 2015 to January 3, 2016. The exhibit will feature some of Adjaye's sketches, drawings, and building models. Adjaye takes an international approach to his architecture, exploring themes like building new communities. He has designed over 50 projects including the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.
