To become Pope, one must work their way up from the bottom roles of Monk and Priest, to Bishop, Archbishop, and finally Cardinal. The Pope then assigns specific roles and responsibilities to each monk, priest, and bishop, similar to the feudal system, to ensure obedience and maintain his authority at the top of the Church hierarchy.

The Pope assigns jobs to every monk, priest,
bishop in the world so he can maintain
control. Like in the feudalism the Lord gives a
fief to his vassal and the vassal gives his half
of his fief to his lower vassal and so on.
