Toby is awakened by a strange banging sound in his living room. When he tries to turn on the light, it does not work. He lights a candle and investigates the noise, walking through his house into the study. There, he snorts a line of powder from a plastic pouch. He is then alerted again by the noise and grabs a coat, pen and notepad before running outside. He runs through the driveway and field, falling to the ground. After getting up, he writes down ideas in his notepad while continuing to hear the strange noise.

1. UNTITLED OPENING SEQUENCE
INT.LIVING ROOM.NIGHT
WS Toby has dozed off in the armchair. He is suddenly woken up by a strange sound
MCU (banging of a drum). He wakes up completely and turns the lamp on. He then gets up
CU
MS
from his chair and turns on the light switch, but the light doesn't turn on. He then goes
MS over to the cupboard and opens the draw and pulls out some matches.
OTS Toby then strikes the matches and lights the candle which is next to the lamp and the
POV drink. He then puts the matches down by the lamp and picks the candle up. Toby then
walks towards the hallway.
INT.HALLWAY.NIGHT
MS Toby walks through the hallway into the study.
INT.STUDY.NIGHT
MS Toby then walks over to the desk, moves documents out the way and clears space for
HA
POV
the candle and puts the candle on it. He sits down in his chair and again looks down
POV (pack shot) and pulls open the draw and pulls out this time a plastic pouch with powder in it.
MCU Toby empties the contents of the pouch onto the desk near to the candle. He then
ECU looks down and closes the draw. He then focuses on the powder once more and
CU arranges the powder into a single straight line.
CU He snorts the powder.
TOBY:
CU (Squeals in pain)
CU
FS Toby then jerks his head forward then soon becomes alerted again by the same sound.
POV He grabs a pen and notepad and blows out the candle. He gets up out of his chair and
CU gets his coat and puts it on. He then puts his keys, pen and notepad in his coat pocket.
MS He then walks out of the study into the study.
FS
INT.HALLWAY.NIGHT
FS Toby walks through the hallway into the kitchen.
INT.KITCHEN.NIGHT
FS He then walks straight through the kitchen to the outhouse.
INT.OUTHOUSE.NIGHT
FS He walks straight through the outhouse to outside.

2. EXT.DRIVEWAY.NIGHT
FS Toby jogs towards the driveway and past it down towards the lane.
EXT.ROAD.NIGHT
FS Toby turns right and runs up the lane. He meets traffic and keeps running up the lane.
He then runs across the road.
EXT.GATEWAY/FIELD.NIGHT
FS He runs into the gateway and climbs over the gate into the field.
EXT.FIELD.NIGHT
LA Toby runs into the field and falls onto the floor. He then gets up and gets out his pen
FS and notepad. He then scribbles down some ideas and hears the same noise again. He
CU drops his pen and notepad on the floor and looks in every direction. He starts pawing
OTS at the ground and crawls around on all fours. He then shakes like a dog does when he
is wet and goes back to his pen and notepad and pens more ideas.
