Univision Update # 1
Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram are some social media platforms Univision is part
of. Univision is able to have such success because their custom built programs, tools, and
insights. I got more information on their social media presence up until now as far as statistics. I
see from their social media presence they inform, entertain, and persuade their consumers. I
obtained how well their doing on social media like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
On Facebook Univision has a big presence as compared to other company in the same
industry. Univision has 3,347,794 likes so far on their Facebook page. I found they use
videos, posts, and pictures to inform and entertain. They inform and entertain about
shows, novelas, series, and news. At the same time they interact with people with posts
and allow them to comment. Univision likes to communicate in many ways and that’s
how they stay engaged with their community. As I look on the page I see total page and
new page likes. Company likes from this week to last week of the graph I see a 23.7%
decrease in likes. Provided this data I can see that their Facebook is not doing well.
Now as I look on LinkedIn for Univision I see more of difference in presence. On their
LinkedIn page they specialize in Spanish-language media, radio, digital, marketing services,
research. Univision provides more marketing research about Hispanics through articles, news,
and statistics. They allow people to comment, like, share, and upload content to engage and
inform with consumers. Univision seems more like their informing consumers through
marketing research than on other social media websites. The most recent article titled, “Antes
Muerta Que Lichita Employs a World of Storytelling Techniques.” This article provided that 60%
of Univision novella viewers watch with friends family vs. 47% of big 4 network prime time
drama viewers.
Twitter is the next website they are on sand I follow. I see they have 80.9K tweets, 3,211
followings, 2.21M followers, 1,299 favorites, and 29 lists. These figures are increases each day
as I check the Twitter page. Univision’s Twitter page seems similar to the Facebook page with
videos, posts, likes, sharing’s, pictures, about shows, novelas, series, and news. I could not find
statistics on Univision’s Twitter page like on Facebook.
I can see that Univision has a huge presence amongst Hispanic consumers on social
media. I have seen on their second website they are specialists on marketing. Univision serves
marketers in areas of research and consumer insights, creative services, and management.
Univision’s media Q3 report showed me vast information on Univision’s social media presence.
Univision’s social media and media presence helping others like direct response advertiser and
fortune 500 CPG company. Univision helped these two to understand the Hispanic business
opportunity across their product portfolio and Hispanic purchase process. Even though this is
true social media was the main channel to reach consumers.
