This document outlines Caroline's 8-week training plan to improve two priority weaknesses: jackling and accurate passing. Baseline tests show her jackling success at 0% and passing success at 50%. Her targets are to increase jackling success to 65% and passing success to 80% within 10m. Tests will occur at weeks 4 and 8 to track progress. The targets are needed to improve Caroline's individual performance and benefit her rugby team by creating attacking opportunities.
This document outlines a performer's improvement targets over an 8-week training plan. It identifies their weakest traits through testing: aerobic fitness and knowledge of opposition. The targets are to improve aerobic fitness from a poor to average level and knowledge of opposition from below average to average. The targets and timeline are agreed upon and aimed to benefit the performer's selection, endurance, and advantage over opponents, as well as reducing mistakes to help the team's performance.
The document contains results from tests measuring four traits: muscular endurance, coordination, balance, and stamina. For muscular endurance and balance, the best results were average. Coordination was above average, and stamina was fair. Two targets are set to improve muscular endurance and stamina through a training program over 8 weeks, with progress measured through retesting.

This document outlines Maddy's testing and training plan to improve two weaknesses: rucking and taking contact. For rucking, her baseline test found a 70% failure rate, and her target is to reduce this to 30% by the end of the 8-week plan. Tests will be conducted at weeks 4 and 8 to track progress towards her targets, which aim to improve her performance and selection prospects.
The document outlines a testing and training timeline for a performer to improve over 8 weeks between May 2022 and March 2023. It includes 2 targets to improve speed by reducing a 35m sprint time by half a second and to improve finishing by scoring 7 out of 10 shots by the end of training. Justifications are provided for both targets focusing on improving the athlete's individual performance and contribution to their team.
This document outlines the testing and training timeline and targets for a performer to improve their flexibility and ability to run set moves. The timeline shows 8 weeks of training from February to March with testing and reviews occurring throughout. Two improvement targets are identified: 1) To improve the performer's success at running set moves by reviewing video analysis at baseline and after 4 weeks of training. 2) To improve flexibility as measured by the sit and reach test, with the goal of scoring in the mid-range of the "good" category in normative data. Progress will be reviewed every 4 weeks over the 8 week period.

This document outlines a training plan for a performer to improve two priority areas over eight weeks. It identifies weaknesses in flexibility and ball retention through standardized and bespoke tests. The training plan sets targets to improve flexibility from an average of 9.9 to 10.2 and ball retention from an average of 50% to 60%. Justifications are provided for each target explaining how they will benefit the performer's performance and injury prevention, as well as their team's success.
This document outlines a training plan to improve two priority areas for a performer over eight weeks. The priority areas identified through testing are power and speed. The plan sets targets to improve the performer's vertical jump by 5cm and reduce their 30m sprint time to consistently rank between 3.10-3.19 seconds. Justifications are provided for how improving these areas will benefit both the performer's individual performance and team selection opportunities, as well as provide defensive and attacking benefits to their team. Progress will be monitored at review points over the eight weeks.
This document outlines an eight-week training plan to improve two priority areas for a performer. It identifies flexibility and control of anxiety as the two weaknesses to target based on standardized testing. The plan sets measurable and time-based targets to improve flexibility test scores from a baseline of 21 to the below average range of 31-40. It also aims to lower the performer's anxiety level test score from a high baseline of 29 to the average range. Testing will occur at weeks 4 and 8 to review progress towards the targets.
This document outlines an eight week training plan to improve two priority areas for an athlete. The athlete was tested on four weaknesses: power, strength, body composition, and speed. Testing showed power and speed were below average. The training plan targets are to increase power to above average levels through a Sargent jump test and to increase speed to a good level on a 35m sprint test. Justifications explain how improving power and speed will enhance the athlete's individual performance and ability to be selected for the first team, as well as benefit the team by allowing the athlete to dominate midfield. Progress will be reviewed at weeks four and eight through re-testing.

Caroline underwent an 8-week training program to improve her rugby skills. In the first session defenders were allowed to pressure her passing, which caused issues, but her passing improved with coaching. Later sessions introduced more physical contact, which Caroline adapted to well. Her shoulder injury forced rest, but video analysis showed her progress. By the final sessions Caroline was a competent passer under pressure and wasn't afraid of contact, though still needed confidence competing for balls. Testing found her passing success rate reached the goal of 82.6% while her jackling success improved to 40%.

0% success rate. Lack of confidence and unsure of what she is meant
to be doing.
Specific Target By the end of the 8 week training programme, Caroline is aiming to increase her
confidence in competing for the ball and be able to win the ball 65% of the time when
fully committed to the ruck in a game of 7’s.
Measurable After 4 weeks and then at the end of the 8 week programme Caroline will be tested again
via video analysis. The target can be measured by the jackle success rate (%) and also by
my own view as I will witness how much she has improved and the confidence she has
gained.
Agreed Upon Caroline has agreed upon this target as she believes it is achievable, this is because after
committing to rugby fully this year she has already seen improvements.
Realistic The target is realistic, this is because Caroline is a committed athlete and will want to try
and push herself to improve. Also, I will schedule gym sessions within the programme, this
plus her normal gym routine will mean that she will gain strength which will also help to
compete for the ball.

9. Improvement Target 1 – Justification
(M3)
• Why is this target needed?
• What will be the performance benefit to the
performer (e.g. team selection, injury
prevention and representative honours)?
• What will be the performance benefit to the
performers team(s) (e.g. unit, attack, defence
and whole team benefits)?
10. Student Justification 1
For Caroline, this target is needed because at the moment she
has the ability to make a tackle which can be taken advantage of.
However, looking at video footage, Caroline will hesitate in her
decision to jackle the ball. This improvement target will benefit
her performance as using the correct technique and also
strengthening her core through the 8 week programme, will
prevent injuries from occurring as this will also reduce the
hesitation. Improving her jackling technique will also benefit the
team as she will be able to turn her defence into an attacking
advantage and opportunity that the team can utilise and score
tries.

The accurate passing success rate was 50% which is not high enough when playing at
performance level sport.
Specific Target At the end of the 8 week training programme (WB 09/03), Caroline is aiming to be able to
confidently pass to anther attacking player at varying distances up to 10m.
Measurable At the end of the 8 week programme where Caroline will be tested again, she should be
able to hit a 10m pass with an 80% success rate. Also, using my own knowledge and
therefore judging criteria, the passes should be accurate and hit the criteria.
Agreed Upon Caroline has agreed upon this improvement target as she feels that she can already,
almost hit the target of 10m, however, the accuracy is not present.
Realistic The improvement target is realistic, as with added upper body strength increased during
training, the distance should not be a problem and she will be comfortable with her
technique as the repeated movement should come naturally after the 8 week training
programme.

• What will be the performance benefit to the
performers team(s) (e.g. unit, attack, defence

13. Student Justification 2
The target to improve Caroline's accurate passing is needed as it is an
essential skill in the game of rugby. An accurate pass will help her to improve
her other weakness ( capitalising on 2v1’s) as a fast and accurate pass will
allow the attacking player to run onto the ball at pace without adjusting stride
length, therefore the defender does not have time to drift and make the
tackle. Caroline has all the natural talent to represent the South East at
divisional level after only a year of playing competitive rugby. With the
improvement in her passing she will have a greater all round performance
and will start to stand out during matches in which she may be spotted by
talent development officers. The benefit of improving Caroline’s accuracy in
her passing will enable the team to have more attacking chances. This is
