This document contains two rubrics created by Diego Paredes for assessing language tasks completed by high school students in Coronel, Chile. The first rubric is holistic and evaluates students' speaking performance on a listening task involving technological devices. It rates students' ability to correctly answer 6 yes/no questions. The second analytic rubric evaluates students' writing skills through a short paragraph assignment on a famous Chilean actor. It assesses students on content, vocabulary, organization, and grammar using a 4-point scale. Both rubrics were designed according to the lesson plans for second year high school students.
