The Nairobi Dev School is a non-profit developer school in Kenya run by 4 young women. It borrows the idea from Hacker School in the US and was funded through online crowdfunding raising 34% of its funds. The school provides a 12-week informal education program for students aged 17-27 teaching web, mobile development and entrepreneurship through collaborative and project-based learning. So far they have graduated 10 students with 4 becoming working developers and 3 freelancers.
