1. Orthopedics

depending on the patient’s needs. These may be purchased in foil and cassette packs.
Landanger, established in 1947, is a highly reliable company in the surgical fields of medicine.
They provide a comprehensive collection of tools which ensure the doctor’s accuracy and the
patients’ safety, during operational procedures.
S&T provides a wide variety of surgical products. They offer instrument sets, as well as sutures,
forceps, scissors, vascular clamps, and vessel dilators. Within the product range, there is also a
collection of special instruments and an organized means of storage for these instruments. SMI
incorporates state-of-the art technology with an understanding of the varying medical needs of

5. Orthotics
Damage to the neuromuscular and skeletal systems may be managed with the peripheral

Some children may suffer from scissor gait or an inability to sit straight due to cerebral palsy.

maximize protection and support of the wearer.
Prosthetics
Prosthetics are devices which substitute the functions of body parts lost through maladies
including congenital disorders and trauma. The two major kinds of prostheses are somato (of
the body) and cranio-facial (the skeletal structure of the head and face). Somato prosthetics
cover the breast, nipple and limbs, whereas craniofacial prostheses cover intraoral and extraoral
prosthetics (e.g. obturators, dentures and dental implants). Generally speaking, however,

Lohmann& Rauscher offers Cellona® Plaster of Paris. It is of a creamy and thick texture which
permits more intricate casting, and is therefore the optimal choice for complex molds; no
compression points arise and the flow of water through the porous green core prevents dry
spots. This is an effective material for the fields of orthotics and prosthetics.
The Cellacast ® Xtra Cast Tape is a form of synthetic cast which is light and firm, providing the
necessary stability without any discomfort. It comes with a knitted, stretchable fiberglass
material that effectively accommodates the shape of the area for which the cast is being made.
The Cellacast ® Xtra Cast Tape is highly efficient in rehabilitative processes following operations,
fractures and orthopedic issues.
UMC will also provide the necessary materials to maximize comfort of the wearer.
Lohmann&RauschersCellona® Cast Edge Padding is a self-adhesive solution to hard edges and
pressure points, as it is added to the edges of the Plaster of Paris cast,in addition to the
synthetic cast.
Moreover, UMC looks to Oscimedi S.A. for their expertise in creating cast cutters which are light,
powerful and effective. They come in a variety of choices with the option to add a vacuum
cleaner. With Oscimedi S.A. having over 40 years of experience in creating cast cutters, these

7. Dental
