–branch of knowledge which deals with the scientific
study of man, his works, his body, his behavior and
values in time and space (Palispis, 2007).
IMPORTANCE:
 Helps by providing insights into “strange aspects” of past or even present
societies.
 Strange aspects: conflict and violence, superstition and witchcraft, fashion,
courtship and marriage, etc.

9. POLITICAL SCIENCE
– a systematic study of a state and its government (Palispis).
– emphasizes the use of power, interest, influence, and
diplomacy which is important in creating a well-ordered
society.
