This document discusses different types of conditional sentences in English. It provides examples of each type and exercises for the learner to practice. Type 0 conditional sentences refer to general truths using the present tense. Type 1 conditionals refer to possible real situations using "will/can/may/must" in the main clause. Type 2 conditionals refer to hypothetical situations using past tense verbs. Type 3 conditionals refer to unreal past situations using "would have" in the main clause. The document provides examples and exercises for learners to practice forming different types of conditional sentences.

O documento discute se a ficção científica ainda pode ser pensada em analogia com o realismo, conforme proposto por Thomas D. Clareson em 1971. Clareson argumenta que tanto o realismo literário quanto a ficção científica surgiram como respostas ao racionalismo moderno e à era da ciência, e que ambos buscavam representar a experiência individual. Após a Segunda Guerra Mundial, muitos textos de ficção científica passaram a retratar de forma negativa os possíveis efeitos da ciência.
This document provides an overview of the CircuitRunners Team 1002 for the 2015 FIRST Robotics Competition build season. It includes the team roster and mentor list. It describes the various subteams that work on different aspects of building and programming the robot such as mechanical, electrical, programming, CAD, strategy, and documentation. It outlines the team's overall game strategy of obtaining 5 totes and stacking them to place a container on top for maximum points. It discusses the team's design process and three initial design concepts - an active linear manipulator, a passive rotating forklift, and an internal forklift design.

- CANEUS International aims to facilitate international public-private partnerships through consortia to help transition promising aerospace technologies from mid-level development to deployment.
- One such consortium is the CANEUS Fly-by-Wireless Consortium which works to develop wireless technology solutions to replace wired systems for applications like avionics and flight controls.
- The consortium brings together technology developers, end-users, governments, and investors to coordinate development activities, share costs and risks, and help ideas clear the "valley of death" of mid-stage technology development.
Every day, 50,000 flights take off, transit and land safely within US airspace. NASA Aeronautics is behind many of the technology concepts that make this possible. With drones proliferating and traffic volume rising rapidly, NASA needs a way to stay ahead of the curve. In this session, you will learn how IBM Bluemix quickens NASA's pace in air traffic management research, and hear three lessons learned from a recent NASA project using Bluemix Mobile and Bluemix Data Analytics.
This document discusses the development of an experimental test bed called Project Alchemy, which uses serious gaming technologies to support human factors investigations of advanced interfaces for semi-autonomous vehicles. Project Alchemy evolved from an earlier demonstrator called TOMSAV that explored interface requirements for controlling multiple underwater vehicles. Project Alchemy features a virtual representation of a small hovering unmanned aerial vehicle and its deployment from a marsupial ground vehicle. It allows operators to investigate supervising and directly controlling the UAV in simulated urban environments, including a 3D model of buildings on the University of Birmingham campus. The test bed is intended to generate new knowledge about interface needs for semi-autonomous systems in an affordable and accessible way using desktop virtual environment technologies.
