HSCIC is looking to partner with NHS organizations to further test and develop MediPi clinically.

Neuro Psycad
NeuroPsyCAD is an AI-based platform that analyzes brain scans to provide early and accurate diagnoses of neuropsychiatric disorders like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. By sending brain scans to NeuroPsyCAD, clinicians receive a report within hours comparing the scan to a patient database and indicating the most likely diagnosis and its probability. This allows for earlier treatment and management of diseases, slowing their progression and reducing healthcare costs compared to traditional diagnostic methods. NeuroPsyCAD has been shown to be over 50% more accurate than expert clinicians in identifying some conditions like Alzheimer's from brain scans alone.
Innovative medical technologies
The Office for Life Sciences (OLS) in partnership with Innovate UK is working to support developers of innovative medical devices, diagnostics and regulated digital health products to evaluate their products in a real-world clinical setting. Funding is being made available through a series of competitions that will run over the next 2 years. The first round of the competition was run in early 2018.
The second round of the competition ‘Support for SMEs to evaluate innovative medical technologies competition’ opened on 2 July. Up to £1.5m funding is available to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) generate an evidence base that will enable the evaluation of products that address priorities areas for NHS England. This support is intended to allow companies to collect and analyse clinical performance and cost effectiveness data within an NHS setting.

Health Enterprise East is an NHS innovation hub that helps NHS organizations and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) innovate through services like assessing NHS innovation disclosures, granting commercial licenses, running innovation competitions, and supporting technology projects. It also operates an Innovation Scout Network of over 100 NHS staff across 50 organizations to identify, assess, and promote new innovations. Medic - Artificially Intelligent System for Healthcare Services ...
This document describes an artificially intelligent system called Medic that aims to provide healthcare services using artificial intelligence technologies. Medic uses natural language processing, fuzzy logic, deep learning and a knowledge base to diagnose diseases from patients' descriptions of their symptoms. It can also recommend medical tests and prescriptions. The system architecture includes interfaces for patients and doctors, a central database, and image recognition and decision making modules. Convolutional neural networks are used for image-based disease identification. The goal of Medic is to make healthcare more accessible and affordable by providing services remotely using artificial intelligence.

Using health data in a connected world requires new competencies, a personal digital health compass calibrated to individual personalities and needs. Patients and clinicians able to collect and manage data, data-operational informatics professionals able to analyze data, and cutting-edge researchers, innovators, and educators able to apply knowledge, will take learning health systems to the next level.
In this EFMI-HL7 event using innovative technology and surprises to engage the audience, we will discuss strategies for empowering and activating people to engage, share and use their health data. We will point to diversity, trust and open standards like HL7 FHIR to open up access and capacities to manage data safely for patients, care-givers, and the health system.

Em consonância com os ODS – Objetivos do Desenvolvimento Sustentável e a Estratégia Global para a Saúde das Mulheres, Crianças e Adolescentes, e aplicando uma abordagem baseada nos direitos humanos, os esforços de cuidados pós-natais devem expandir-se para além da cobertura e da simples sobrevivência, de modo a incluir cuidados de qualidade.
Estas diretrizes visam melhorar a qualidade dos cuidados pós-natais essenciais e de rotina prestados às mulheres e aos recém-nascidos, com o objetivo final de melhorar a saúde e o bem-estar materno e neonatal.
Uma “experiência pós-natal positiva” é um resultado importante para todas as mulheres que dão à luz e para os seus recém-nascidos, estabelecendo as bases para a melhoria da saúde e do bem-estar a curto e longo prazo. Uma experiência pós-natal positiva é definida como aquela em que as mulheres, pessoas que gestam, os recém-nascidos, os casais, os pais, os cuidadores e as famílias recebem informação consistente, garantia e apoio de profissionais de saúde motivados; e onde um sistema de saúde flexível e com recursos reconheça as necessidades das mulheres e dos bebês e respeite o seu contexto cultural.
Estas diretrizes consolidadas apresentam algumas recomendações novas e já bem fundamentadas sobre cuidados pós-natais de rotina para mulheres e neonatos que recebem cuidados no pós-parto em unidades de saúde ou na comunidade, independentemente dos recursos disponíveis.
É fornecido um conjunto abrangente de recomendações para cuidados durante o período puerperal, com ênfase nos cuidados essenciais que todas as mulheres e recém-nascidos devem receber, e com a devida atenção à qualidade dos cuidados; isto é, a entrega e a experiência do cuidado recebido. Estas diretrizes atualizam e ampliam as recomendações da OMS de 2014 sobre cuidados pós-natais da mãe e do recém-nascido e complementam as atuais diretrizes da OMS sobre a gestão de complicações pós-natais.
